The Supreme Court just heard arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which is said to be the greatest challenge to the 1973 Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade, which enshrined the “right” to abortions in America.

  1. Yes. Laws do not prevent crime, they provide, after the fact, an avenue for justice for those harmed by the crime. I believe for the most part those who would not commit the crime do not need laws, but the world is full of individuals who are a poor fit in a society that allows unfettered freedom, so laws bring order for all, and justice to the breakers, which also is an important protection.
