Our thoughts are with 70 nonbinary runners who aren’t getting the attention they crave deserve.
Chicago Marathon runners who identify as nonbinary (using the modern definition of gender, they don’t feel as though they’re a male or a female) feel as though their division has been swept under the rug. The division consists of males and females racing against one another, and, even those who are accepting of trans people tend to feel uneasy about men competing against women.
The Chicago Marathon is a combat or physical sports competition, of course. So there’s no immediate danger to the women in the race, however, we’ve seen males identifying as females in sports before. In UFC/MMA fights, the men, as you’d assume, are physically dominant to the point of putting the women they’re competing against in danger. In college sports such as swimming, we’ve seen average to below average males decide to switch to females, where they then finish top-10.
It’s no wonder why Chicago didn’t advertise the nonbinary division more. A marathon is a grueling and difficult event in that people take a lot of pride in their ability to not only win, but to run the entire event in the first place. Many of the runners likely don’t want to have their accomplishments sullied by an event that broke down gender-based divisions and changed the rules for political reasons. The race will feature some of the world’s top-tier athletes in marathon events, including marathon champions, Ruth Chepngetich, of Kenya, Seifu Tura, of Ethiopia, and Americans Tatyana McFadden and Daniel Romanchuk.
There are only 70 nonbinary runners signed out of the roughly 40,000 people who got into the Chicago Marathon.

‘there was no major announcement to coincide with the division.’

“Personally, it feels hurtful because it feels performative, or brushed under the rug, because it really is a big deal,” Cal Calamia told the newspaper, adding they were “excited” to compete in their hometown.
The New York City Marathon did it last year. The Philadelphia Distance Run was the first large race in the U.S. to establish a nonbinary division and offer equal prize money. The event did that last year.
“As a trans athlete, showing up and registering for these races is a hard thing to do, because there’s not usually space,” Calamia told the Sun-Times. “What makes it easier is when big organizations with a lot of power say, ‘We’re adding this category and we’re proud of it, and we’re doing what it takes to celebrate these runners who are now being invited to our event.”
“While we’re excited to introduce the nonbinary division, we recognize the opportunity for continued dialogue, learning and progress with our event. Discussions are ongoing with non-binary participants and leaders within our sport to work together towards our goal of creating more inclusive event experiences,” Chicago Marathon spokeswoman Alex Sawyer told the paper.
The marathon will begin Sunday, Oct. 9, and will include the 70 disgruntled nonbinary runners. The Boston Marathon announces in September that they will be adding a nonbinary division for their 2023 race. Along with this, the London Marathon will also include a nonbinary division for their 2023 race.
Time will tell if the nonbinary event will live on with its small number of runners.

The should just do away with categories and just call them all NON HUMAN. I say this because there are only two genders and they are set in ones DNA. That is SCIENCE FACT. The most telling thing would be the DNA of those supposed changed Gender people would read their new GENDER but since only what one of them looks like changes DNA remains what they are and what they will always be no matter what LIES they tell or are told. One thing else when they meet GOD and are Judged for their sins they will be as he made them and all that money spent on the LIES will be wasted.

Male DNA will always make Males, stronger, faster, taller, more muscle mass and other male traits that will always make the male dominate, especially in sports. You DNA can never be changed. You can call yourself whatever you want ,have gender surgery but inside DNA can’t be changed. Only woman will have a womb and produce eggs for a baby to be formed. Males do not have these so they can never get pregnant. All males can do is supply sperm to fertilize eggs.

Having a nonbinary division in a marathon is stupid. Runners are either male or female. Given the physical advantage males have over females there should be male & female divisions. You could have age divisions as well. If you want to run a marathon why the need for denying your gender recognized at birth?

They should get the same amount of attention as unicorns running in marathons because they don’t exist either.
