Calls from liberal politicians and the media to “listen the polls” and use mass shootings to target gunowners are running into a harsh reality: Americans say anti-gun laws won’t stop gun crime.
“In the aftermath of a teenage gunman’s deadly spree in Buffalo, most voters remain unconvinced that more gun control laws can prevent such mass shootings,” the polling firm announced in a Tuesday press release, prepared before that day’s killings in Uvalde, Texas.
“A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 40% of Likely U.S. voters believe stricter gun control laws would help prevent shootings like the recent one in Buffalo,” Rasmussen Reports announced.
“Fifty percent (50%) don’t think stricter gun control would help, while another 10% are not sure,” Rasmussen Reports found.
“These findings are almost identical to an April survey after a mass shooting on a New York City subway train,” the firm noted.
The poll found 60 percent of likely voters do not believe it is “possible to completely prevent mass shootings like the one in Buffalo?
Only 24 percent believe anti-gun laws could prevent mass shootings like the one in Buffalo, even though New York State had already enacted virtually every anti-gun law demanded by activists.
That reality is throwing a monkey wrench into plans by liberals to use a mass killing in Uvalde, Texas to benefit political campaigns against Republicans.
Within hours of the tragedy Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appeared to be trying to slow down calls from rabid Democrats to immediately schedule a vote to repeal the filibuster and issue national gun bans.
It’s the latest blow for liberals, who are learning Americans don’t share their radical agenda.
In the wake of a leak of a draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion indicting the court may overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that made abortion a federally-protected right Democrats expected a groundswell of support from Americans, primarily women, ready to fight for abortion rights.
Instead, polls founds Americans largely didn’t care, and Democrats fell even further behind in U.S. House races nationwide.

Not hard to figure out that none of the 20,000 Gun Laws on the books have failed to reduce crimes in any significant way. Liberals don’t get it because the mistakenly believe criminals will follow the Law. They don’t, that’s why they’re Criminals.
I totally agree that stricter gun laws will not prevent these crimes. You are plain stupid if you think so. The criminals will not register, nor will they get their guns in a legal way.

The democratic leaders blame the gun lobby for all of the firearm killings, robberies, and miss usages in the hands of citizens. The narrative today forced into the public is that this is the gun owners that are creating all of the problems, robberies and murders. Legal gun owners do not harm or kill people and are very careful with firearms. Our problem, especially at this point is the illegal people being allowed to come into the country with no sponsor, no vetting, no background checks, etc. This invasion of our country is changing our country into something third world. The enemy is coming directly into the country and will be ready to create havoc in some states. We see the democratic states today already having thefts, murders, attacks, and hordes of criminals performing grab and run thefts etc. Attacks on innocent civilians, robberies murders are commonplace today with the illegal guns coming across the border. Today’s politicians seem to feel that all of the problems are with the civilian citizens guns. There is some truth to having problems with firearms, but they are not the legal gun owners. it’s not with the gun community which has legally managed to use the guns for collection, hunting, protection (very necessary today). If our politicians will tell truthfully what their position on gun ownership is, they will only allow politicians to own firearms for their protection, but no ownership or protection for the citizens. However, we the people who placed them into their vaunted position’s, you know the ones, they are the gun owners of America and will not allow the politicians to blame the legal gun owners of America for the unstable political environment caused by the political complacency of murders and mayhem occurring by illegals, thugs and criminals, do your job and fix the problems with undesirable’s, illegal entry’s, illegal guns being sold in our country by Mexican and American thieves.

All hell is going to break loose. More WOMEN have purchased guns than men AND they are getting free lessons in how to use and take care of those guns. Some of the statements made by women indicate they do NOT intend to give up those guns. Ever try to push a stubborn woman around?
Only a fool thinks that disarming law abiding citizens is going to stop mass shootings or gun related crimes. Most crimes commeitted, with guns, are done by criminals who are not going to meekly hand over their guns because a bunch of logic lacking liberals want them to.
However, the age of persons allowed to buy the type of automatic rifle used in Uvalde should be raised to 21 and the waiting period longer.
THERE ARE OVER 8.7 MILLION LEGAL GUN OWNERS……..THE RIFLE OWNERS DO NOT NEED A LICENSE…….LET THOSE TERRORISTS GUESS WHICH OWNERS ARE ARMED………..

Anti gun laws put us in more danger. The government should encourage honest citizens to get proper training and go armed.
