A new poll has warning sirens going off at the White House, as Joe Biden’s job approval isn’t just plunging but Hispanics voters, once a core Democrat constituency, now give him lower marks than white voters.
The new Quinnipiac poll finds Biden with just 33 percent approval among all Americans, with 53 percent disapproving.
If that didn’t have the White House in a panic, his approval rating among Hispanics is just 28 percent, even lower than the 32 percent support among whites.
Forty percent of Hispanics “disapprove strongly,” making it unlikely Biden can win them back. Only eight percent of Hispanics said Biden was doing “better than expected.”
Liberals have tried to claim Democrats’ recent struggles with Hispanics are a protest vote against not doing more on immigration, but the poll found Biden with just 28 percent approval among Hispanics on economic issues, 37 percent approval on handling the coronavirus and 33 percent approval on foreign policy.
The poll did not ask voters to rate Biden on immigration issues, but only 12 percent of Hispanics thought Biden was “too conservative,” making it highly unlikely his poor approval among Hispanics is due to dissatisfied liberals.
In fact, Hispanics were almost three times more likely to say Biden was going too far left, with 34 percent saying Biden is “too liberal.”
