A new poll finds one candidate for U.S. Senate’s approval collapses when voters learn he once held an unarmed black man at gunpoint.
It’s even more notable because that candidate is John Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor and an actual Socialist.
An internal poll released by Pennsylvania State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta finds Fetterman with a 24-point lead in the four-candidate race for the Democrat nomination for U.S. Senate.
But Fetterman’s massive lead completely evaporates when voters are told of an incident in which Fetterman held an unarmed black jogger captive at gunpoint, accusing him of being involved in a shooting.
“While Mayor of Braddock, Fetterman chased an unarmed Black jogger in his pickup truck and held him with an illegally loaded shotgun pointed at his chest until the police arrived because he mistook the sounds of fireworks for gunfire,” the poll told voters.
“Even after police determined the jogger had done nothing wrong, Fetterman refused to apologize and maintained that he would do it all again. To this day, Fetterman still blames the jogger’s attire to justify his actions,” the poll added.
When told that, Fetterman’s support dropped from 41% to just 32%, with Kenyatta inching ahead at 33%.
Fetterman’s act is eerily identical to the 2020 slaying of Ahmaud Arbery, a black man killed with a shotgun by white man in a pickup truck who claim he was committing burglaries.
“The jogger, Christopher Miyares, was unarmed and wearing running clothes and headphones, according to the police report,” MSN reports.
“Fetterman continued to yell and state that he knows this male was shooting,” the police report notes, even though there was never a shooting.
“He’s trying to make it like it’s OK. He’s trying to justify what he did. I mean, you’re the mayor of Braddock … with a shotgun,” Miyares said in an interview after the incident.

John Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, instead of running for senator probably should be getting his exercise in a prison yard or loony bin. I guess as a democrat and avowed socialist he considers himself above the law rather than a racist!!
