ANALYSIS – Cuban dissidents and democracy activists had planned an island-wide protest for food and freedom last week. The dictatorial Cuban communist regime had different ideas.
After being surprised by the massive, widespread street protest on July 11, the government of figurehead leader Miguel Díaz-Canel vowed to crush any future protest before it started.
As the Miami Herald noted, “Last Monday, Cuba sent out the message loud and clear to those who planned to demand their basic human rights, their basic freedoms: ‘Don’t even think about it.’”
The decrepit socialist dictatorship, good at only one thing, successfully squelched the planned protests, but the same time it made their point for them.
While Cubans have no food or freedom, the regime continues to crush dissent and those striving for a better future, as they have for over 60 years.
The Cuban intelligence and security apparatus is one of the most sophisticated in the world; trained by the best of the former Soviet bloc. It is pervasive, with snitches on every block, and surveillance and intimidation rampant throughout society.
The Herald adds:
But no matter, the activists, whose battle cry is “Patria y Vida” (Homeland and Life) still got their message across.
Can the Cuban government logistically surround every activist’s home every day for the rest of the year as they did that Monday? Doubt it, so this is not over.
The Cuban government must be well aware that its reaction is under the world’s microscope. And it should be. The regime has a real problem. Its young population, its millennials, its artists and writers no longer want to struggle daily for the necessities of life, and they want democracy, too.
This, incredibly, remains a shocker to a regime in power since 1959.
Last Monday, activists in Cuba spent the day posting videos and photographs to the outside world showing state police officials in plain clothes surrounding their homes.
Cuban exiles, or their children and grandchildren, such as myself, view the civil disobedience as the best chance to finally to end the legacy of Fidel Castro’s 1959 communist revolution.
And while team Biden and his progressive Democrat allies do nothing to help the fight for freedom just 90 miles from Miami, Florida Republicans are showing their support for those fighting socialist repression in Cuba, as well as in the United States.
Speaking at Miami’s Freedom Tower, the Ellis Island for many Cuban refugees, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said, “You have a lot of people standing up and fighting against a brutal dictatorship. Floridians should not stand for such a Marxist regime to exist 90 miles away.”
Desantis also announced that he will ask for $25 million from the Legislature to restore and preserve the historic tower, an enduring symbol of freedom for Cuban exiles, many of whom were processed into this country there.
While this is mostly symbolic, it’s far more than the Democrats are doing. The question is:
As the communist repression increases just 90 miles away, where is Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the socialist ‘Squad’ in Congress?

Where are Biden, Harris, and the “Squad”? That’s an easy question to answer. They’re sitting at their desks, cheering for their allies in the Cuban government.
And they are attacking Israel also. If the Bible calls it wrong, they call it right and they support and endorse everything the Bible calls SIN.
They are all supporting the communists, everywhere.
They are busy planning the same fate for our country. Stay awake but not Woke.
Arm the Cuban people, just as China smuggles drugs into the US, using Mexican gangs. Drones with Chinese markings could deliver guns at night. Freedom will only come after assassinating the guards that protect the regime. Then the naked regime can be brought to justice.
So what about Biden and Harris “fiddling”. There are so many more serious issues, to us, to address that those two are are actively promoting. We can’t help them until we fix us.
The question is:
As the communist repression increases just 90 miles away, where is Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the socialist ‘Squad’ in Congress? Answer: They’re busily researching how to more quickly and efficiently install it here.
Remember who to vote for in the mid-terms. Join every local political office, school board, etc. to take control, just like the democrats did. We need to following their winning template, and capitalize to put in conservative No RINOS.
