Enhanced unemployment benefits, which have been providing millions of Americans with an additional $300 a week on top of existing unemployment benefits have now officially ended.
As The Hill reports:
Over seven million people across the U.S. will lose their unemployment benefits beginning on Monday as pandemic safety nets expire.
The emergency federal jobless benefits are set to end on Labor Day, while another three million people will lose their additional $300 boost to state unemployment benefits, barring government intervention.
The White House has said that there are no plans to expand federal unemployment benefits any further, The Associated Press reported.

The Sept. 6 benefit cliff was part of a deal made in March to extend federal jobless aid from the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill. At the time, the economy seemed poised to make an enormous rebound as COVID-19 vaccines became more widely available and summer activities looked set to resume
The benefits have been blamed as potentially the primary reason for the ongoing worker shortage which has seen many small buisnesses forced to cut back hours of operation or close entirely due to lack of individuals willing to work.

They had to know this would end. and I know of some that made no effort to even look for jobs.
They’re neglecting to mention the eviction moratorium. That hasn’t expired. (We can surmise that they’ll wait until after the Mid Terms to pull that rug out from under beleaguered homeowners and renters.) We’ll witness even more shell-shocked Americans marching with shopping carts full of their trappings toward soup kitchens.
And who would have thought that paying people more to ‘not work’ than to work would not be the way to go. Dems of course, buying votes with more ‘free stuff’.

About time and long overdue. Hopefully it will incentivize people to finally return to work. The challenges for getting folks to work over the past months have been beyond costly. Their motto, why work when I am handed my paycheck weekly without having to earn it.

Our band is working like dogs–sometimes two shows per day–now that this Covid crap has subsided. Numb Nuts is going to do his worst to penalize workers and reward freeloaders to garner votes for the coming Mid Term Coup. Once liberals completely dominate each branch of our government, this current economic honeymoon will be over.

Freeloaders survive by freeloading. I stopped giving to charities when Numb Nuts was elected. When I receive emails from those organizations soliciting donations, I reply that their ‘hero’ is now in the White House, and he’s a gazillionaire. If they need money, then email Numb Nuts.

I am very fortunate to live in a small town in Michigan. We had only 1 case of the Coronavirus and everyone held their jobs. Even better is that the person who contracted the Coronavirus was released from the hospital after a short visit. And, best of all our schools never closed, but they did practice social distancing.
We live in a California City–The Capital, in fact. We’ve watched our homeless population balloon to staggering proportions. Covid notwithstanding, we’re in the process of removing our governor, and perhaps we’ll attain your ‘small town’ ambiance.
