Despite Afghanistan crumbling amid the Taliban’s overthrow of the country’s government after Joe Biden withdrew troops and allowed terrorists to seize American weapons, Vice President Kamala Harris and Biden will be campaigning for embattled California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who faces a tough recall election this year.

According to CNN’s Jasmine Wright, “Harris is expected to campaign for CA Dem Gov. Gavin Newsom the weekend of August 27th, as he looks to defend his seat in the upcoming recall election, a source familiar w/ scheduling discussions told CNN. President Biden’s visit is still being determined.”

“I am excited to join my friend and our vice president next week,” Newsom said in a statement. “The stakes of this election couldn’t be higher.”

PJ Media reports:

Despite her historically low popularity for a vice president, Harris remains relatively popular in her home state of California.

Joe Biden is also expected to visit California to help Newsom, who he says he’s proud of despite the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. “I’m incredibly proud of President Biden,” Newsom said last week. “I’m incredibly enthusiastic to have his support on [a] ‘no’ vote and look forward to him coming out here.”

America is being humiliated on the world stage, thousands of Americans are trapped in a country controlled by the Taliban after being left behind by Joe Biden, and yet, both he and Kamala Harris plan to campaign for the governor of California? Call me crazy, but they have more important things to be concerned with for the near future. That they both still plan to leave D.C. to campaign to save a governor facing a recall tells you where their priorities really are.

Newsom faces fierce opposition in his quest to remain in power from radio show host Larry Elder, former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, among others.

  1. Let’s not let American citizens in Afghanistan or the Afghans who worked beside us keep Biden and Cackling Harris from doing their supporting their socialist comrades who the people want out. This is what wrong with Washington and Democrat and a bunch of “Republicans” need sent home.

  2. I would think that Governor Newsom would not want an endorsement from Biden and Harris at this time when polls show their approval rating is dropping like a stone, as it should be. But then I guess Newsom is altogether too desperate and terminally stupid.
