Legendary comic and Hollywood star Chris Rock slammed “cancel culture” and political correctness, blaming militant liberals for terrorizing entertainers.

“I see a lot of unfunny comedians,” Rocks told radio host DJ Envy on the syndicated “The Breakfast Club” radio show. “I see unfunny TV shows. I see unfunny award shows. I see unfunny movies because no one’s — everybody’s scared to, like, you know, make a move.”

“Some people need to be looked out for,” said Rock, “I definitely understand that. But not letting comedians work is, you know — what happens is everybody gets safe and when everybody gets safe and nobody tries anything, things get boring.”

“Everybody’s scared to make a move,” said Rock. “That’s not a place to be. You know, we should have the right to fail because failure, failure is a part of art.”

Rock called out “cancel culture” liberals for being self-righteous bullies themselves.

“It’s weird when you’re a comedian because when you’re a comedian when the audience doesn’t laugh, we get the message. You don’t really have to cancel us because we get the message. They’re not laughing,” said Rock. “Our feelings hurt. When we do something and people aren’t laughing, we get it.

“I don’t understand why people feel the need to go beyond that, you know what I mean?” Rock continued. “Honestly, to me, it’s a disrespect. It’s people disrespecting the audience like, ‘oh, you think you know more than the audience?’”

“The audience knows more than everybody, OK. You know but hey, some things don’t need to be said.”

Rock’s comments echo those of actor Donald Glover, who raps under the name Childish Gambino, who blamed cancel culture for boring entertainment in a series of tweets:

“saw people on here havin a discussion about how tired they were of reviewing boring stuff (tv & film),’ Glover began.

“we’re getting boring stuff and not even experimental mistakes(?) because people are afraid of getting cancelled,” he continued. “so they feel like they can only experiment w/ aesthetic.”

“(also because some of em know theyre not that good),” he added.”

  1. Right on Chris! Humor is the answer and polarized opinion will disappear as we see we are all alike in our love of this country and the polits are paid off to espouse jawboning views that favor lobbyists. I wonder how much money they got goes to offshore accounts? Maybe if the dollars are floated from New Orleans to Caribbean Islands one by one they will row away to chase them!

  2. Chris Rock had some sense. Not like these Hollywood jackoffs that think their shit don’t stink. News for you turds. You in Hollywood stink more than anyone who lives in a pile of shit. Where do youassholed get off that your so cool. You all suck and I wouldn’t walk across the street to see of you assholes perform. Chris Rock I’d listen to you

  3. Chris Rock is right what this cancel culture is doing to our entertainment and all this woke crap is doing to our country and it’s people. Time to expose the woke and cancel culture for being nothing but communism.
