The thousands of National Guard troops that were deployed to Washington D.C. to act as security during President Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration were told to leave the Capitol and other congressional buildings on Thursday, and as of that evening, were sleeping outside and in parking garages.
The Troops
After the Capitol Riots 25,000 National Guard troops were ordered to Washington D.C. to prevent further unrest in the lead up to the inauguration event, they slept on cold marble floors of congressional buildings without cots or sleeping bags.

When Trump found out they were sleeping in the parking garage he put them up in his hotel along with the police.
They didn’t hesitate to secure their services when they they thought they were going to be attacked at the inauguration. We have better things to do. This just falsely inflated their importance.
