Hours after his inauguration, President Joe Biden moved at unprecedented speeds to dismantle several of former President Donald Trump’s signature policies with the stroke of his pen. Ending Border Wall Construction
Trump declared a national emergency at the Southern border on Feb. 15, 2019 to fund the construction of the border wall. Biden declared that the national emergency was terminated, which will stop construction of the border wall by ceasing to finance it with tax dollars, terminating contracts with the private entities building the wall, and redirecting the funds elsewhere.
