Arguably the most overlooked story from this week’s Democratic National Convention was the recognition and praise given Donna Hylton, a 62-year-old woman who prosecutors convicted in the 1986 abduction, rape, torture, and murder of New York real estate broker Thomas Vigliarolo.
Here are a few of the details:
Hylton and three accomplices kidnapped Vigliarolo at the behest of Louis Miranda, who believed Vigliarolo had defrauded him.
Over the next 15-20 days, the group slowly tortured Vigliarolo until he died from asphyxiation.
Hylton received 25 years to life. She was paroled in 2012, after 27 years behind bars.
Since then, she’s received a warm welcome from left-wing activists who admire her efforts to promote the release of aging prisoners on humanitarian grounds. Hylton spoke at the 2017 Women’s March on Washington and this week at the Democratic National Convention.
The left’s embrace of Hylton has not become a cause célèbre, thanks in part to a mainstream media that overlooks Democrats’ unsavory acquaintances while demanding Republicans disavow anyone controversial even tangentially affiliated with them.

Just yesterday, reporters bristled after President Trump refused to disavow Qanon, an online conspiracy group suggesting that the Democratic party shields rapists and pedophiles for political purposes. This makes the choice to include Hylton alongside Joe Biden ill-timed and highlights the recent pattern of Democratic groups brushing off rape allegations and even convictions.
Democrat activist and mega donor Ed Buck infamously managed to maintain good standing in various Democratic groups despite a succession of gay black homeless men dying of forced drug overdoses in his West Hollywood home until Buck was charged with various sexual and drug crimes by a federal prosecutor.
The morning of Bill Clinton’s DNC speech, pictures surfaced of the former president receiving sensual massages by a victim of deceased pedophile and rapist Jeffrey Epstein during a trip on Epstein’s private jet dubbed “Lolita Express”.
Joe Biden himself has been accused of sexual assault by Tara Reade, a former staff assistant who worked for Biden during his time in the Senate.

A judge in Ca just sentenced Joseph DeAngelo, dubbed the “Golden State Killer”, to 11 terms of life without the possibility of parole and he’s 74. He’ll die in prison and judging from his frail appearance in court, it won’t be long. I don’t see the dems clamoring for his “compassionate” release (and no one should). The MSM has reminded us in almost every report on DeAngelo that he was a police officer so there’s no way he’ll ever see a lefty advocating for his release since he’s always going to be held up as an example of how all police are murderers like him.
