Democrat Jon Hoadley is running a competitive race to unseat longtime Republican incumbent Fred Upton to represent Southwest Michigan in the U.S. Congress.
While some experts believe Democrats will need another blue wave to wash Upton away, others contend that the seasoned lawmaker is in grave danger.
Yet Hoadley may have damaged his prospects with a self-inflicted wound from his youth. Whether or not these transgressions will be enough to derail his campaign for good remains to be seen. (New York Post)
A Michigan lawmaker and rising star in the Democratic Party who is running for Congress in one of the nation’s most contested seats discussed drug use and sex in a now-deleted blog where he also published derogatory comments about women and creepy remarks about children in underwear.
State Rep. Jon Hoadley (D-Kalamazoo) is seeking the Democratic nomination in Michigan’s 6th Congressional District and was last week endorsed by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee — the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives.

But before he was elected to state politics in 2014, the ambitious Democrat ran a LiveJournal blog where he discussed learning about crystal meth, described his sexual partners as “victims” and published a conversation which included a reference to 4-year-old girls wearing thongs.
The blog, named “Rambling Politics,” was deleted last week on the eve of Michigan’s Democratic Primary, but can still be found online.
Hoadley has received several high-profile endorsements, including from progressive firebrand Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and vice presidential hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris.

To bad, this only matters if he was Republican, but sense he is a Democrat the media will protect him just like all the rest. In the past, when a politician got caught doing something bad, or got called out for being a pedophile they would go away forever. Now they just become Democrats and the media hides their past.
