The conservative government watchdog Judicial Watch and former Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) are suing California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) over his vote-by-mail executive order.
Newsom’s order would allow all voters in California to vote by mail in the November elections, whether or not they had requested. (The Hill)
The complaint argues the move by Newsom “is an unlawful attempt to supersede and replace California election law.”
The plaintiffs cite California’s Voter’s Choice Act, which sets requirements for counties to satisfy before they are able to conduct mail-in voting and argue Newsom’s directive jumps over those safeguards, inviting fraud.
The governor and most Democrats have been a proponent of mail-in voting to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Judicial Watch, which filed the lawsuit in a federal court in Sacramento on behalf of Issa, argues that the governor’s directive could hurt the former San Diego–area congressman’s campaign.

The fear with Republicans might be with mail in ballotts ther eis no way to marganilize the minority unles sthey do what the republicn in North Carolina did get people to pick up the ballotts and estroy the Democrat ballots.

ABSENTEE ballots ARE NOT what is being talked about here! They are talking about mailing to EVERY REGISTERED voter a ballot NO MATTER when they last voted IF they are on the roll!
CA did it for the so called primaries. What a mess. Had to mail or drop your ballot at certain places. Who picked them up, who counted them? Had a site you go to to make sure your ballot was counted. WELL, sorta of a glitch, cuz it DID NOT WORK! And never did see an out come of who won. Guess whom ever counted them decided the winner. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY and WE the People want OUR lawful voting to stay in place! Bad enough to think and KNOW some illegal will probab ly OUT VOTE ME! OR the RATS have pulled off another scam. They can make all the claims they want. So far, they NOT saved a single person from dying from corona. No, this “MAIL IN:” BALLOTS are about stealing the election. Lisa Murkowski, the Republican from Alaska stole her election. And she did it with 100,000 mail in ballots. Most from Yankee land.
Voting by mail? What could possibly go wrong there! Not a slam on the USPS, but there are an unlimited number of ways those votes can be manipulated by EITHER SIDE; there needs to be some kind of accountability by the Board of Elections in order for this to be a FAIR and IMPARTIAL election, probably the most important in our lifetime!

This attempt to rig, by fraud, the voting process under the pretense of the health threat of the virus is a sham and a fraud in and of itself. People have been conducting their lives in spite of the virus, by wearing a face mask when going to the store or other out door activities. They don’t NEED to VOTE BY MAIL They can go to the POLL in person. Wear a mask if required, but vote IN PERSON.
CLEAN UP the Voter Rolls and put VOTER ID in place and set the Minimum Jail Time to 20 Years for Voter Fraud , FIRST !!! …..and we can talk about mail-in ballots….

My husband is handicapped from a hemorrhagic stroke and has to vote absentee. I go get the form and take it back to the Board of Elections, when he is done voting I take it in to them.
My son just past April 16, we still don’t know why but I called the Board of Elections, I couldn’t get through so I called our local board and they had them call me, so I could check and make sure his name was off of the list.
