The left’s cancel culture is overflowing with hypocrisy. Progressives are trying to rid America of historical figures faster than the Taliban in Afghanistan circa 2000.
No one is safe from the woke mob, and yet they refuse to point their supposed high-powered perception at themselves. While it’s not fair to expect more from historical illiterates, it’s our solemn obligation to shine a light on their movement’s hypocrisy.

On the eve of the Civil War, Rice’s entire property included 15,000 slaves.
Rice left the bulk of his estate to establish a university on the condition that it was only for whites.
Kelly’s tweets may have sounded a clarion call to eradicate Rice’s presence from his university.

During his employment with the East Indian Company, Yale had a reputation for treating indigenous people savagely, being the judge, jury, and executioner for locals living near the company’s post in Chennai, India. On one occasion, he hung a servant boy for allegedly riding off with a company horse.
Yale’s student body — which booed George W. Bush at the 2004 graduation of his daughter, Barbara — haven’t expressed much, if any, remorse over their university’s continued worship of Elihu Yale.

However, King William profited handsomely off of the Royal African Company, a mercantile trading company that shipped more slaves to the Americas than any other institution in the three centuries of the Atlantic slave trade.

Ted Turner, the founder of CNN, attended Brown University. The Ivy League school imposes a collectivist ideology on its students, but no matter how hard it tries to act woke, it can’t erase its bigoted past.
Although the founder of Brown was an abolitionist, a university-sponsored study found implacable ties between the school and slavery in early America.
