The office of New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a letter to Google executives this week demanding they censor search results for crisis pregnancy centers, which provides care, support and abortion alternatives for pregnant women.
“A search through Google Maps seeking ‘abortion’ and a location will provide a local listing of both those health care providers who offer abortion services and organizations that do not provide abortion care,” wrote Darsana Srinivasan of the office’s “Health Care Bureau.”
“OAG is requesting that you undertake an effort to ensure that search results for providers of abortion services provide accurate results throughout New York State so that any search results in the state bring up local facilities that are confirmed to provide abortion services,” Srinivasan added.
The move would seemingly censor results mentioning crisis pregnancy centers when a search uses the word “abortion.”
“My office will do whatever is necessary to work with Google to make these changes,” added James.
Government-imposed censorship of search results is usually associated with socialist dictatorships like Communist China and North Korea, but is now openly embraced by many Democrats.
Crisis pregnancy centers are often a lifeline for pregnant women who cannot afford prenatal or baby care, distributing free services like diapers and baby formula.
That’s drawn the ire, often violent, of Democrats who receive campaign cash from abortion chains.
Though they claim to be “pro-choice” abortion radicals are quickly moving to eliminate choices other than abortion. United States Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for the federal government to shut down crisis pregnancy centers, and is demanding the Biden administration seize national parks to set up “abortion camps” with tents where abortions are performed.
In recent weeks militant abortionists have unleashed a nationwide wave of terrorism and violence, vandalizing, firebombing and burning to the ground dozens of centers that provide free care to women.
