A Chicago-area public school is implementing a new race-based grading system which falsely claims non-white students cannot behave or follow a schedule.
“In an effort to equalize test scores among racial groups, OPRF [Oak Park and River Forest High School] will order its teachers to exclude from their grading assessments variables it says disproportionally hurt the grades of black students. They can no longer be docked for missing class, misbehaving in school or failing to turn in their assignments, according to the plan,” West Cook News reports.
“Traditional grading practices perpetuate inequities and intensify the opportunity gap,” a school board presentation on the “Transformative Education Professional Development & Grading” plan claims.
School board officials say the new race-based grading system is part of a larger plan to indoctrinate leftist political beliefs by ensuring all races have equal test scores, regardless of performance on tests.
“OPRF’s administration will adopt language that makes and keeps the system visible and continues to name racism as a complex interconnected structure,” said Laurie Fiorenza, director of student learning.
“Teachers and administrators at OPRFHS will continue the process necessary to make grading improvements that reflect our core beliefs,” the plan dictates.
Teachers are under orders to “consistently integrate equitable assessment and grading practices into all academic and elective courses.”
According to activists, expecting students to show up on time and turn in work is a form of racism.
“By training teachers to remove the non-academic factors from their grading practices and recognize when personal biases manifest, districts can proactively signal a clear commitment toward DEIJ,” said Margaret Sullivan, an education consultant and associate director at the Education Advisory Board.
“DEIJ” stands for “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice,” an intentionally-vague liberal catchphrase for a larger leftist agenda.
The belief that certain races are inherently less capable of learning was debunked and embraced only by white supremacists until it was picked up by Critical Race Theory-advocating leftists.

the subject being taught. This will also handicap people when they enter the job market of general society. These children will not learn the discipline of being on time, socializing and being responsible.
Matters not to them. The students will find “equity” to be a detriment to any meaningful employ, and will whine incessantly about it. Any employ they do find, will terminate with tardiness, absenteeism et al (which were excused in school) is seen by the employer. No matter how menial the position.
The grading system for a students passing score is A=adverse reactyion, B=bareley passed, C=going sloweley now where, D= dumb Bell, F=freaken stupid.
They have no intention to “enter the job market…”. Cradle to grave welfare is the culture and it will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

I would say this is insulting to non-white races.
This is really a way of permanently hobbling Blacks from being able to compete with whites or Asians or Hispanics. It has been called the “soft bigotry of low expectations” but it is anything but “soft” on the Black kids. They can never escape the mean streets if they never learn how to compete on an even basis with everyone else.
This is the same “reasoning” which prompted Oregon to progressively eliminate the requirement that high school graduates be able to demonstrate any level of competence in any subject in order to receive a diploma (it further prevents the use of competence for any other academic purpose, such as advancement to the next grade level). Put simply, you can quit going to school in Oregon pretty much at will and then show up when you’re 18 and collect your degree. Congratulations! Employers will be standing in line to… uh, to… well, to interview someone who went to a real school in some Red State and got a real degree which they can actually read.
