Wounded veterans face countless challenges as they deal with their injuries and illnesses while actively working to assimilate back into a world that looks much different to them.

Many charities exist in order to help these heroes and one of the biggest is the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes. This 501(c)(3)’s goal is to make sure that these wounded veterans receive all of the support they need to rebuild their lives in return for the sacrifices they have made.

According to CSAH, “The Coalition is a national leader in providing direct financial aid to severely disabled veterans in need. We have disbursed over $30 million dollars in aid and services through our various programs since 2004. We are dedicated to serve our nations’ troops severely wounded in the War on Terror. Over two-thirds of our staff are combat-wounded veterans or their spouse/caregiver.”

One of the unique programs offered by CSAH is the financial aid program that allows the injured veterans to pay their bills and purchase essentials while they wait for their VA benefits to kick in. This often takes 18 months to process after discharge.

Compounding this problem is the spouses of the wounded veterans quit their jobs to provide the care they need.

CSAH provides the support our heroes need in their greatest time of crisis and need. But they need our help to continue to provide these critical services. Please consider donating to this wonderful organization that is working diligently everyday to make our wounded veterans lives easier.

  1. Find a vets first organization that supports injured vets as your charity – my choice was spinal cord injuries from IEDs, a few dollars a month helps out so much, or even one dollar, and it makes you feel good too.

    1. The VERY SAD PART is the need for these organizations to exist at all.

We have people like Pelosi and her ilk throwing HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS, EVEN BILLIONS at art museums in a Bill to fiscally prop up America during this COVID mess and yet we have vets who need help.

Our federal govt should take care of these brave men and women and let the art museums stand or fall based on the support of citizens and private business donations.

  2. Agreed on the need for supporting programs like this. Most charities exist to fill gaps in services not provided by the Fed or state governments. The Coalition is awesome and they post a lot of good stories on their Facebook page.
