OANN White House correspondent Chanel Rion is facing a new round of criticism from the White House Correspondents Association for allegedly violating the White House’s social distancing guidelines.

The guidelines have been strictly enforced at White House press briefings.

The Daily Caller reports:

The WHCA has sought to limit the number of outlets and reporters present at briefings during the coronavirus, establishing a seating rotation for reporters to follow. OANN was taken out of that rotation April 1 after its reporters ignored the rotation and attended briefings from the side aisles, a trend that has continued despite the punitive action.

“If you do not have an assigned seat on a given day, please do not use the press areas of the White House on that day,” the WHCA Board said in a Wednesday email to members, emphasis theirs. “We have asked the designated print pooler to work to the best of their ability to cover gaggles of administration officials. It is imperative that we keep the number of people working from the White House to an absolute minimum.”

If you do not have an assigned seat, please do not attend briefings during this crisis and do not stand in the aisles, doing so defeats the purpose of the measures we have all taken comply with CDC guidelines and puts your colleagues at risk,” they added.

The White House has escalated its efforts to protect President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence in recent days, announcing it would begin administering quick-result COVID-19 tests to those meeting with the executives. The press, however, was exempt from the requirement.

  1. The Press Corp can be made obsolete.
The new press secretary will be in charge and OAN will have a permanent seat b/c Stephanie Grisham likes the truth and she is Chief Adviser who speaks for First Lady Melania.
More Truth News should be brought in to occupy the seats – that will guarantee less of the broadcast networks with dumb questions creating wasted time like Trump got from that ‘oil clunker reporter.’

    1. What this article did not say was that a reporter from Phoenix TV is a Chinese Communist Plant. Gee the liberal White House Correspondents Association won’t tell you that or refused to say that, but it keep OAN from White House briefings. That is totally sick. The President needs to remove the White House Correspondents Association and allow some other source decide who can attend these briefings.

      1. Truly there is only ONE CONSERVATIVE news service these days. It is OAN. Not even Fox pretends to be conservative.
And no, we are not deceived by all of their pretense.

      2. Looks as if he’s waiting for the new press secretary to handle it – maybe she will not roll over the White House Press Corp with tanks, she will sublimely disallow their having any space anymore at the White House so they will have to hotfoot it to get their scoops when she puts out an alert that the president will be speaking.
They will never get over it.

      1. I am in Face book jail for suggesting that muslims should be removed from Israel, not killed removed and is considered hate mail while sitting muslim
senators bad mouth Israel all day long

  2. I only watch OANN because of the ‘correspondents’ misrepresentations of what was actually and literally said by our President. Their side-bar slants just turn me off completely. I especially like Chanel Rion; she can handle this herd.

  3. If I were the President, I would start off each press conference with the following “You will present each question when I call on you and I will respond accordingly. If you don’t like my reply… write whatever you want!… you do it anyway”. If you persist to be rude and obnoxious, the presser will conclude for that day. And all of you that behaved yourselves and acted respectfully… can thank these “rogue reporters” if you don’t get to ask a question”… THE END! HAVE THEM POLICE THEMSELVES!

  4. I would categorize them as journalists and the rest of the press as Anti-Trump. They are not
Pro Trump they simply report what others refuse to acknowledge.

  5. Only health related journalist s should be allowed at these daily briefings. Keep the msm OUT. Yesterday they turned it into a anything but coronavirus briefing.
