South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and popular conservative podcaster Matt Walsh have now found themselves in a heated tit-for-tat after the latter accused Noem of only being popular due to her looks.
As The Daily Caller reports:
“Instead of engaging in a debate about the proper role of government and how it isn’t conservative to tell people how to do business, @MattWalshBlog stooped to horrible misogyny,” the governor tweeted Wednesday to her hundreds of thousands of followers.

Shortly after Noem’s tweets surfaced, the podcast host hit back and tweeted the governor had trotted out “the lame ‘misogyny’ line.”
No surprise that milquetoast Kristi Noem trots out the lame “misogyny” line. Exactly what I’d expect, and proving the point I was making about her.

In a later post, he said Noem got the clip of his podcast “from Media Matters” to “hit conservatives.”

I do admit Governor Noem is good looking, but I find that to be a common trait of all conservative women. The other side, not so much. I am puzzled as to why Mr. Walsh would make a statement like that. Any state would be lucky to have Kristi Noem as governor. We here in Michigan have to put up with Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Matt’s a very useful and bright conservative, and I usually agree with him. But yeah, I think he went too far here. Complimenting a woman on her appearance should be something they appreciate, and it even used to be taken as a compliment. After all, women don’t spend the time they do each morning to look presentable–and even as attractive as possible–just so they can react with outrage when some man notices how good a job they did on themselves.
But when you say that her looks are all there is to recommend her is a different thing. Noem may have made some recent stands that conservatives decry, but we don’t overlook those just because she’s hot.
