Project Veritas appears to have claimed another trophy in its war against the liberal media.
Earlier this morning, James O’Keefe revealed to CNN President Jeff Zucker that his team of intrepid reporters had successfully infiltrated CNN’s 9 a.m. conference calls thanks to a “brave insider” and have been recording embarrassing information ever since.
After identifying himself, O’Keefe asked Zucker if he still felt CNN deserved the title “the most trusted name in news,” because “from what I’ve been hearing on these phone calls, I don’t know about that.”
The guerilla journalist then announced that Project Veritas has copious recordings that further erode CNN’s claims of independence.
Zucker abruptly thanked O’Keefe for his comments — before his tone ultimately betrayed his frustration — and informed his subordinates that the network would immediately set up a new, presumably more secure, conference call system. Before Zucker could end the call, O’Keefe announced that Project Vertias “would release those recordings today at seven o’clock, so stay tuned it’s gonna be fun.”
The media executive’s stumbling response inspired a look of satisfaction on O’Keefe’s face.
He explained afterward that Project Veritas has numerous clips of CNN’s senior leadership candidly sharing their opinions in what they assumed was an ideological echo chamber. “Lots of little clips,” O’Keefe called them, revealing how the mainstream media works feverishly to control the political narrative.
“The media has to be held to account,” O’Keefe concluded. “They are hurting the American people with their lies, their innuendo, their slander, their defamation, their hyperbole.”
Besides tonight at 7:00 pm ET, O’Keefe promised that Project Veritas would release new CNN tapes every day this week!
