Fox News contributor Mike Huckabee appears in a new ad for Newsmax TV. The ascending conservative outlet has made a play for Fox News viewers who find themselves disillusioned with its coverage.

The two channels consequently find themselves in a battle over the support of President Trump’s most loyal fans, with Huckabee reportedly in the middle. (The Daily Beast)

And now the fledgling cable channel is featuring Huckabee—a Fox News contributor who also hosts a show that re-airs on Newsmax as part of a partnership with a Christian TV network—in a promo directly appealing to disillusioned MAGA fans, including a not-so-subtle jab at the “fake news” networks, which presumably now includes Fox.

The Newsmax ad leans heavily on imagery of President Donald Trump railing against the media and praising Newsmax before focusing on a number of former Fox News hosts that have appeared on the upstart channel’s airwaves.

“Fake news is a real problem,” a voiceover blares. “That’s why millions turn to Newsmax.”

Fox News, Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy, and Huckabee did not respond to requests for comment.

Huckabee did recently praise Newsmax for its election coverage.

Before becoming a Fox News contributor, Huckabee served two terms as Arkansas’ 44th governor. He ran for president three times, and from September 2008 until January 2015 hosted “Huckabee” on Fox News Channel.

Keep it up Fox and you’ll be in the same boat as the rest of “Fake News”!

When Tucker and Hannity and Judge Jeanine and Greg and Jesse and Laura all go to Newsmax plus Dan Bongino and Lou Dobbs then Fox can say good bye

Bravo for Gov. Huckabee, Fox has been going left for easily over a year. Now it has made definite inroads there. I hope all the conservatives follow suit. I can’t get Newsmax except for You.tube, however, a small price to pay it’s still free.

Rob, if you have Cox, it is on channel 85. I no longer watch Fox News. However, if you have Direct TV watch the OAN. You might want to call Direct TV that you want Newsmax as one of their channels. The more requests they get, they might as well add Newsmax.
