CNN’s decision to cover President Trump in a decidedly negative light has not paid off for the cable news network, as dismal 2020 first-quarter ratings show.
The development is particularly troubling for the network given Fox News, its chief rival, reported its best ratings quarter ever.

As liberal networks debate whether to pull broadcasting pressers from the president of the United States because they don’t like him, one anti-Trump network might not have a choice if they want to boost ratings. CNN had quite a dismal first quarter, with not a single one of their programs cracking the top 20 in the rating chart. President Trump has made the network his top punching bag, and rightfully so. It’s no secret that the top brass at CNN hate Trump.
Fox News has eight of the ten most-watched shows on cable television and 14 in the top 20. MSNBC, which proudly flaunts its bias, claimed the remaining spots.
CNN’s best-performing program, “The Lead With Jake Tapper,” came in at number 22.
That’s brutal any way you cut it. And it’s not like this is a new thing. For years, CNN has been in a ratings slump. If it weren’t for CNN International, which isn’t nearly as Trump deranged, then it’s possible that this noted anti-Trump network would probably have to close up shop. And while that may sound like a good thing in terms of curbing the anti-Trump nonsense that’s spewed daily by the liberal opposition press, CNN is just one actor in that Axis of Evil. It’s a massive enemy that’s well-connected, well-financed, and still has reach. And no, CNN isn’t going away anytime soon, but the president has some more ammunition to unload on them when their reporters get cute at pressers in the future.

I don’t watch cable news. But, even Fox news over the air has had a decided change. I don’t count on it anymore. Fortunately there are plenty of other sources these days. One would think rating would reflect the distrust in these sources and they would fade away.

CNN may epitomize “Fake News”, but MSNBC has no news at all – it is literally nothing more than the psychotic fantasies of its on air personalities. I mean, seriously, ever listen to Rachel Madcow? Fox may be higher in ratings, but, they’re just riding on previous ratings…their viewers will be/have been greatly disappointed for few years now i.e., Donna Brazile, Chris Wallace, etc. As for cnn, who funds them? They cannot be turning a profit.
