A 62-year-old grandfather in Oregon shot and killed a man who was attempting to break into his house while his adult daughter and young grandchildren were inside.

As Fox News reports:

An Oregon grandfather shot and killed an alleged home intruder Sunday while his adult daughter and two grandchildren were inside the house.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home in an unincorporated area of east Salem just before 7 p.m. for a disturbance. When they arrived, they found the suspect dead at the scene.

The suspect was identified as Peter Bishop, 42, of Salem. The resident reported to have shot Bishop is an unidentified 62-year-old Salem man, according to a press release.

Investigators say a 911 caller reported an unknown male was trying to break into the home before a resident shot the intruder. No one in the home was injured during the incident.

No charges have yet been filed and the case is currently under review.

      1. Horrible,
You are so right and in my opinion all senior citizens should be given a free weapons course on protecting themselves. Tell BIDEN to suck off on trying to take our guns.

    1. I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. The potential with this is endless.

      1. That link has video evidence of you walking the streets with a mattress strapped to your back, yelling “CURB SERVICE!”

  1. Give the Grandfather a medal toss the thugs body off in some deep ravine. Do nothing to mark where he was tossed.

  2. Good for the grandfather. Protected his family, saved the taxpayers lots of money and set a great example fumigating the area.

  3. Good riddance! I hope this is just the beginning of unlawful arrogance of dirt bags like this intruder and others, like Antifa, black lives matter, as well as others who crap on the rule of law.

  4. Maybe if more of them got shot they would think twice before entering someones house or property! Good for grandpa!

  5. Sad but it has come to this. We now have to try and think through all the ramifications during a crisis situation. Now we wait to see if the authorities charge Grandpa for defending his family. Who knows in Clown World.

  6. It’s both fortunate and unfortunate. Fortunate that the intruder was killed and that nobody else was hurt. Unfortunate that Oregon is a BLUE state west of the cascades, and there’s a chance that grandpa will be charged with a crime. Horrible
