Vice President Kamala Harris, who oversaw nearly 2,000 convictions for marijuana, which included simply possessing it, has flipped her tune now that midterms are just under a month away.
The decision by the Biden Administration to pardon those with federal marijuana offenses comes with scrutiny, as many believe it’s just a last-second Hail Mary to gather in voters at the last second. Harris, despite locking up people for possession of marijuana, and laughed and admitted to smoking pot.
“Half my family’s from Jamaica… Are you kidding me?” Harris said, while commenting on her time in college on a radio interview while she was running for President.
V.P. Harris’ father said, “(their family) must be turning in their grave right now to see their family’s name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity” associated with the “fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker” after the comments made my Kamala during the radio interview, seemingly unhappy with Kamala’s decision to use her Jamaican ancestry as a punch-line to win points with a young voting base.

While speaking in Austin, Texas, over the weekend, Harris touched on President Biden’s pardon of individuals with federal charges of simple possession of marijuana.
“We are also changing, y’all might have heard that this week, the federal government’s approach to marijuana,” Harris said on Saturday.
“Because the bottom line there is: Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed,” the vice president continued.
While running for state attorney general in 2010, Harris opposed a state-wide ballot measure to green light marijuana use, calling the initiative “flawed public policy.”
Kamala’s hypocritical approach to marijuana comes at the expense of the many people imprisoned, and those who had to sit around waiting in prison while the Biden Administration found it politically convenient to pardon them. No matter how someone views the legalization and incarceration of marijuana offenses, if this was the Biden Administrations’ thought process all along, they should’ve got around to it when they were first able to, not when they needed votes before the midterm elections,
