Texas Governor Greg Abbott drew a firm line in the sand against pro-masking liberals on Thursday as hysteria has once more begun to break out over the prevalence of the so-called ‘Delta Variant’ of the Coronavirus.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, on Thursday signed an executive order prohibiting cities and other government entities in the state from enacting vaccine requirements or mask mandates to protect against the coronavirus, even as the virus’s more contagious delta variant drives another surge in covid-19 cases in Texas.
Abbott’s order applies to any government entities receiving state funds, including counties, cities, school districts, public health authorities and government officials. He also declared that there be “no covid-19-related operating limits for any business or other establishment” in the state in order to “ensure the ability of Texans to preserve livelihoods while protecting lives.”
The order, Abbott said in a statement, was to “provide clarity and uniformity” in the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. The governor claimed that Texans had “mastered the safe practices” that help prevent and avoid the spread of covid-19.
“The new Executive Order emphasizes that the path forward relies on personal responsibility rather than government mandates,” Abbott stated. “Texans… have the individual right and responsibility to decide for themselves and their children whether they will wear masks, open their businesses, and engage in leisure activities.”

I have thought about what I would do if they redid the mask mandate and decided that won’t be in MY future. I will wear it in a medical facility (that’s where disease spreads).
Thank God I truly live in the “land of the free and the home of the brave”. It’s called Texas. The only state that can easily become it’s own country if it wishes. Wouldn’t like to see that happen because I love living in the United States of America, but unless things turn around drastically from where they’re going, especially regarding the COVID over-hype, which is beginning to seem endless, and the fear of vaccine passports and mandates elsewhere in the country, the secede option could be the only way of preserving at least some of what was once the “shining city on the hill”.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) just renewed its mask guidelines which it previously rescinded for fully vaccinated individuals. The CDC claims it is due to the “Delta variant” that it says is more powerful than the original and now even fully vaccinated individuals are advised to mask up. tell me just how are they coming up with these names Delta Varient did china relese a new virus

Until then Governor Abbot made the right decision to outlaw mask mandates in Texas since those stupid Democrats from his state fled to Washington DC without masks on the airplane and spread the Delta variant they got from the illegals coming across the border. Governor Abbot ALSO should employ the state military to stop this nonsense the Federal Government in Congress ordered this crisis.
