New York City commuters found themselves being forced to swim through subways tunnels as the city’s infrastructure crumbled under the weight of the force of Tropical Storm Elsa.
As The Sun reports:
COMMUTERS were forced to swim in subway stations and drivers were rescued from their stranded cars in New York on Thursday as Tropical Storm Elsa barreled up the East Coast.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for NYC and much of New Jersey as the storm made its way up the coastline.
The brunt of Tropical Storm Elsa is expected to hit the area in the early hours of Friday morning, but disaster is already underway in the city.
Multiple users took to social media to share videos of completely flooded subway stations.

Sad part of all this is that New York City has known about this problem of the Subways for many years which became well known and amplified from Hurricane Sandy in 2012. But yet they have not poured money into infrastructure to fix these problems and beef up the Subway abilities to deal with massive amounts of rain resulting in flooding. They had 9 years to do something and yet here we are again, nothing was done or was minimally done….

Around every eleven years, the sun goes tough a phase where it puts out less energy for a few years, so when that happens, the earth gets colder. You are correct concerning the sun’s radiation and it’s impact on our weather every 11 or so years, however, global warming also impacts the weather. Actually, there are numerous conditions that impact the weather. It’s not just one thing. As of now, we just finished an 11 years of higher radiation and the sun is going into a quieter period, so I have learned.
The weather will adjust relative to the various global areas, however, the sun’s radiation does impact the global weather for certain. Some global areas may return to what is considered to be normal for those areas, and some areas may be more impacted by global warming then others, but that remains to be seen.
True. Mile Thick Glaciers blanketed much of what is now the American Upper Midwest, and those glaciers melted loooooong before mankind arrived. The Great Lakes are evidence of that era. There’s not one liberal alive today who would put their butt where their whining mouth is, and physically research Antarctica’s alleged “Ice Melts”. (It never ceases to amaze me how ice can melt when the ambient temperature is 40 below..)

True story. Our neighboring town suffered flooding on a significant scale during our rainy season. Bill Clinton was president during this time. There were also claims of beach erosion surfacing in the media as these storms raged on. (A climate event was ‘blamed’ for this weather pattern. They called it “El Nino”. I called it “El Toro”..) What was interesting about these conditions was that several planes were sent from an Idaho University to our military base in California. They were specially equipped with units that would seed clouds. (?) I remember three of these planes taking off during rainstorms to fly over the Sierra Mountains and dispense their loads. The aforementioned flood occurred subsequent to these flights. What also occurred subsequent to these flights–and said flooding–was a visit to our base by the aforementioned president. He would tour the town to assess the damage, and somehow grant relief to the hapless residents. (He also attended a campaign fund-raising rally that was conveniently scheduled during his visit.) During the tour, our president decided to stop-in to one of the town’s remaining restaurants to grab a bowl of their famous chili. (Actually, we watched that chili being taken off Air Force One by a flight steward. The plane was sitting right in front of our office.) With our toady news media close at hand, the president consumed his meal to the great delight of the town’s gentry. Our commander chuckled as we viewed the report, casually mentioning that this poignant scene was planned two weeks prior to this visit. If my memory serves me, said flood occurred less than two weeks prior to Clinton’s visit.
