Just under 900 miles north of the threats to Florida’s Capitol, police officers arrested Wesley Allen Beeler on Friday night after he produced fake inaugural credentials at a checkpoint in an attempt to get his pickup truck past the security perimeter at the U.S. Capitol building. Law enforcement recovered a handgun and over 500 rounds of ammunition from inside the vehicle.
Beeler hails from Front Royal, Virginia. As of this article’s publication, little else is known about his background.
The Daily Mail reports:
The close call comes just one week after the Capitol became the site of a violent siege that left five dead.
Unprecedented levels of protection have been set up around the Capitol in the wake of the attack to prevent a possible invasion on inauguration day.
Up to 21,000 troops may be in D.C. by Jan. 19, one day before the inauguration. A contingent of roughly 10,000 National Guardsmen and airmen are already in the city. The soldiers are armed and ready to protect.
Beeler was arrested for several offenses including possessing an unregistered firearm and possessing unregistered ammunition.
What the hell was he going to do against National Guard troops with a hand gun? Was this a death wish?

What you should be asking instead of saying fake news, is WHERE and WHO did he get the fake inagural credentials from to get by. Lucky some one was on there toes to see it was fake. It only takes one gun to kill some one.
No gun ever killed anyone. Now the fake papers were something else. Concentrate on the man and the motive.
There were times when I was carrying this or that in my motorcar that was completely unrelated to my purposes at the time and place. This was an especially frequent occurrence when I was a hunter. It may be that the man is innocent of ill intent but just was not thinking things through. This attitude that a person is suspect just because he or she has a gun is harmful to the image of one of our most basic rights as Americans. My advice is to can it now.
He had FAKE credentials! He purposely tried to get in illegally! It was stupid and most likely planted by the Demon-rats to make people think it is a Trump supporter to help get the spineless Republicans to vote for impeachment!
