Republican lawmaker Derrick Evans resigned from the West Virginia House of Delegates after his arrest on Saturday. Evans foolishly electronically documented and posted about his participation in the riot on social media and in a since-deleted video, prior to the breach, he said, “They’re making an announcement right now: If Pence betrays us you better get your mind right because we’re storming that building.” Evans has been charged with entering a restricted area and disorderly conduct.
