Daniel Cameron transformed into a rising star within the Republican Party practically overnight by becoming the first African American Attorney General in Kentucky’s history and the first Republican elected to that position since World War II.

His national profile is rising even higher after he delivered a forceful rebuke of anti-police anarchists trying to intimidate him at his home.

Hot Air’s Karen Townsend has more:

When the angry mob shows up at a public official’s home, it is normal for his reaction to be the same as any other person. The basic instinct to protect family and personal property kicks in. The same happened to AG Cameron when protesters showed up at his home to demand that arrests be made in the case of Breonna Taylor. Taylor, a 26-year-old African-American EMT was shot at least eight times during the no-knock search. When the nearly blank incident report was released, her injuries were listed as “none” and to the question of forced entry, the “no” box was checked. Witnesses say a battering ram was used as Breonna slept, and crime scene photos show it. This happened in March and the police officers involved have not been arrested. So, this story has been a part of the larger picture of African-Americans killed at the hands of police.

The police wrote that it was a Public Integrity Unit (PIU) investigation as a reason for the fatal raid. There still are no answers, which feeds the anger of the protesters. They marched from a high school in Louisville to the home of AG Cameron. Many of them sat or stood on Cameron’s front lawn. The group called Until Freedom organized the protest and instructed participants on what to do if arrested. One of the leaders of the group is on video threatening that if they are not satisfied, then the number of protesters will “triple or quadruple” next time. There were “legal observers” present to monitor arrests. It is reported by local media that loudspeakers were used to get the message out by the protesters, including addressing Cameron’s neighbors. Clearly, this was all about goading police into making arrests to publicize the demands of the demonstrators.

WATCH:

As you can see in the video, they were in his yard and were rather close to his front door. Who wouldn’t call the police? As I said, they knew arrests were likely for their trespassing because they were prepared with the observers, wearing red t-shirts with “Legal Observer” printed on the back of the shirts to identify them. The AG obliged them. Now 87 of them are facing felony charges. Louisville Metro Police Department issued a statement, as did AG Cameron.

“The stated goal of today’s protest at my home was to ‘escalate,’” Cameron added. “That is not acceptable and only serves to further division and tension within our community. Justice is not achieved by trespassing on private property, and it’s not achieved through escalation. It’s achieved by examining the facts in an impartial and unbiased manner. That is exactly what we are doing and will continue to do in this investigation.”

    1. AMERICANS WE HAVE TO TAKE BACK OUR AMERICA FROM THE EVIL CRIMINAL ACTS OF DEMOCRATS………………………..TO SOLVE AMERICAS PROBLEMS MAKE THIS CHOICE WE THE PEOPLE’ HAVE THE POWER OF OUR VOICES AND OUR VOTES, TO VOTE OUT THE ENTIRE LYING,CORRUPT, TREASONOUS DEMOCRAT PARTY COME NOV 2020, VOTE TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN AND TO END ALL CORRUPTIONS IN WASHINGTON GOVERNMENT
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

    2. It would seem that these rebels do not care to work in the system. In fact they refuse to do so. So make them suffer. Make sure that as many get lost in the system as possible. When did this BREAKING OF LAWS begin as a form of protest? During the Civil Rights movement. And nothing has changed.
Maybe this AG cannot use it. But I am a 72 year old infirmed man. And I will surely claim to EEAR FOR MY LIFE, as i shoot as fast as I can. No, I don’t believe in tolerating lawlessness. Especially from those morons who have succombed to WHITE PRIVILEGE brow beating.

  1. Sure looks like a lot of racist white protesters keeping blacks on that democrat plantation!
Just like that cop up in Portland described recently!

  2. I have a real concern that the officers are being hung out to dry by their superiors. I’m not saying there isn’t some culpability on the officers’ part here, but their superiors obtained the no-knock warrant and told them to execute it. EXCEPT, the person of interest that they were allegedly so eager to nab was already in police custody before they executed the warrant. The superior officer(s), and possibly other higher-ups, involved in obtaining the no-knock warrant are, in my mind, just as culpable in the death of Breonna as the officers who made entry. Why haven’t they been called on the carpet for their utter incompetence?

    1. No-knock warrants should only be used in extreme circumstances. Breonna Taylor was not even the object of the raid. Under our system it has been said that it is better for 100 guilty people to go free than for one innocent person to be wrongly punished. “Shot eight times”? How’s that for punishment?

  3. I wish people would just listen to a voice of reason and ask themselves this question before being involved in a march that tries to cause disturbance and not much more. Is there another way to handle this and not be a crowd follower without a mind of my own. Most of the time, if you will listen to a saner voice in your head and mind, you will not follow the mob mentality that accomplishes nothing. If you’re looking for excitement, go demonstrate on the side of good, and you will get all the attention you ever dreamed of.

  4. American tax-payer gives every child 12 years of free education to develop these critical-thuinking voices but, I am afraid a lot of these protesters used these 12 years simply as daycare.

  5. If you look a lot of these BLM rioters are young white idiots that scream and yell at the police, they seem to cause more trouble than anyone, I saw a video of two black people laughing at these protesters there were only white protesters at this BLM protest! These spoiled white brats have been brainwashed in one of our ‘esteemed’ universities that just seem to teach Marxist teachings instead of teaching so that the students can determine what they think. We need to change how the universities are run especially the ones that get Federal funding.

  6. Until you understand The Democrats and the Chinese are sowing fear and discord in this country They released the virus and while distracted they are creating secondary Chaos Do they can take over and dominate before anyone except Trump knows what is happening wake up people you life depends on it

  7. America is under siege by the left – a terrorist organization embedded in our Government and working towards it’s overthrow and destruction, yet we allow it to go on fooled into believing that it’s only a peaceful protest by the blacks. America has to wake up from her stupor and identify her real enemy – “the Liberal Party” before we’re left without a Government and a Country. Arrest them all for treason. This is very serious.

  8. DANGER——-DANGER——-DANGER
    Marxist BLM domestic terrorists!
If we snooze we lose——–our Country!

  9. What is the other side of this dispute? How can you have the whole protester side
of the argument and not the other side? There is something very fishy going on here.
If there is information that refutes what is on the record, let’s hear it. How much of
what we just read is true and what are the authorities doing about it?
