The Supreme Court has ruled unanimously that states can remove presidential electors who refuse to vote for their state’s popular vote winner.

The ruling comes less than four months before Election Day and has potentially significant implications given the outsized role so-called faithless electors could have in a presidential race decided by a handful of electoral votes.

Currently, 32 states require electors to back their popular vote winner.

What do you make of the Supreme Court’s latest decision? Are you anxiously waiting for the Court to hand down other big decisions? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

    1. What good is any election when those who are directed by the populace refuse to do their job?
What good is the election when the Democrats and RINOs like Murkowski are able to generate MILLIONS of fraudulent votes, thereby stealing elections.
Do you get it. When a party OUTLAWS God in their platform, you can be sure that they don’t fear Him and IF they can come up with a way to steal ana election, THEY WILL.

  1. AMERICANS WE HAVE TO TAKE BACK OUR AMERICA FROM THE EVIL CRIMINAL ACTS OF DEMOCRATS………………………..TO SOLVE AMERICAS PROBLEMS MAKE THIS CHOICE WE THE PEOPLE’ HAVE THE POWER OF OUR VOICES AND OUR VOTES, TO VOTE OUT THE ENTIRE LYING,CORRUPT, TREASONOUS DEMOCRAT PARTY COME NOV 2020, VOTE TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN AND TO END ALL CORRUPTIONS IN WASHINGTON GOVERNMENT
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

  2. Not the civil unrest.
    Not the virus.
    Not the “Russians”.
The biggest threat to our republic right now is voter fraud.
Keep your eyes open and be aware.

    1. John M, Great point and it scares me to death! All possible must be done to prevent voter fraud which steals the people’s voice, when their vote is stolen!

      1. WHEN that happens, you will have the option of going to war. Will you be willing to die for your freedoms. We should be keeping a list of all politicians and bureaucrats who work to take our rights and freedoms.

  3. Round 1 to the good guys. You can bet the Demoncrats will try some other crooked scheme to steal the election. The good side is when we see a landslide for DJT, retain the Senate and take back the House, the Dems will start devouring each other with blame and, very possibly, make history by insuring that the Democratic party will become nothing more than a short disgraceful chapter in the history books. No pictures, no statues, just side notes of self-destruction.

  4. Lon, I read an article that John Kerry, of all people, has stated the Democrats are willing to fight a revolution in the streets to overturn the Trump Reelection! Kerry has his finger on the pulse of the Democrat leadership so, I feel sure their leadership is talking about this behind the scenes! This lends further proof to credence, the marxist domestic terrorists attempting to destroy our history are the foot solders of the Dem party!

    1. i wish i knew what street he was going to be on so i could meet him there! and any other wimp that plans on a revolution!

    2. I fear that should that happen there will be blood in the streets. The silent majority won’t be silent anymore!

  5. I am not really sure how this ruling effects anything. For it doesn’t prohibit an elector from actually voting for a candidate other than the one who won the popular vote. If simply allows a state to remove an elector who “refuses” to vote for. But the votes are cast in DC and once cast it is too late for a State to make any such removal. So it seems that the ruling actually means a State can remove an elector who refuses to pledge that he will vote for the candidate he pledged to support in the first place. Electors are already pledged to support a particular candidate. So if after the election an elector states publicly that he will cast his vote for someone else then the State can remove him. But on the vote has been cast there is no do over.

  6. This merely confirms what I always thought because it is the only thing that makes sense – why have the citizenry vote if the electors can then vote for whomever they wish to? As to Michael Foley’s concern, I believe it is not a concern because in the face of this ruling it would seem that any votes opposite to the citizenry’s desire would be automatically revised to be consistent with the general election. Time will tell but, in any event, this seems to be a good ruling and, unbelievably, it was a unanimous vote. That doesn’t happen too often these days!

  7. I think we should be able to vote for whom ever we want. That is our right,to vote for the person we want to be president.Basically we waant whom ever we think would do best for America
