Uh-oh…

Dozens of American institutions of higher education failed to disclose millions in donations from the Chinese government, prompting concerns from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle about Beijing’s growing, and likely nefarious, influence on college campuses.

That influence comes through the Confucius Institute, brought to the United States by China’s Ministry of Education under the guise of teaching American students about Chinese language and culture.

Policymakers worry the Confucius Institutes are a conduit for Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence on college campuses by potentially limiting freedom of thought and distorting Chinese history.

Here are the most prominent American colleges and universities with Confucius Institutes.

  1. With all the rioting being done by college educated anarchists it appear Beijing is getting their money’s worth.

  2. I don’t view many of these assache click-throughs. I didn’t get very far in this one. I’ll wait until somebody puts out a list on a single page.

  3. E-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g boils down to money not ideology. Can the entire thing be fixed? Of course it can. Just cut the professors salaries in half like they have done to other specialists and plan to do to the police. Remove the money and oddly there is NO ideology.

  4. Why not. We have known for decades that these universities are leftist/liberal organizations that border on being communists. They indoctrinate the students into such socialism ideology in spite of the fact that IT FAILS every time. What is to stop those who firmly believe in their own minds in spite of the fact that they cannot and will never be able to survive on their own in any setting imaginable.
    God help us.
For sure, know this. God is still God. And He will have the last say.

    1. Years ago the government ask the colleges to document and keep track of the foreign students so when their student visas ran out they could be sent home but the colleges said no they did not want the students to not come. they wanted their money. So, now you have it. see what a mess we are in. We need to defund the colleges the amount of tuition they charge should keep them well maintained and running Send the foreign professors home to their own colleges and make it easier to get rid of inferiour teachers

  5. How about simply showing a straight forward list of the universities on The China Dole, rather than this one at a time foolishness.

    1. Cut all state funding, too. Why are there state colleges and universities, anyway? Is it written in your state’s constitution that ‘the state shall establish and have full authority over the means of higher education within it’s geological borders?
Interesting that the last year or so of the Obama regime’s reign was spent destroying somewhat venerable private colleges, universities and technical institutes , most of whom were much more efficient and less ‘indoctrinating’ with their process and results. (This does not of course apply to Harvard, Stanford and Yale, ‘private’ only in their own mind.
I’m sure all the employees/teachers/ professors in the shut-down schools found employment in the public schools, where their fees and union dues go to fund the DemocRat causes more directly.

  6. Next they’ll have to ‘audit’ & determine just, how much, ‘socialist-drivel’ is being ‘shoveled-out’ at students by their ‘hippie’ professors in these liberal colleges…tax dollars at work?

  7. I agree with Peter Boonisar: CUT ALL FEDERAL FUNDING TO THESE UNIVERSITIES, NOW!
There are too many university professors who don’t know how to think clearly.

  8. Defund all Univs from Fed funds A-Z, reduce student aid for Chinese students on campus. No exceptions.
    Name names

  9. Odd, or maybe surprising, the University of Michigan was not among the Universities listed. There is a very large Chinese student population there –

  10. In keeping with the Freedoms granted by this country, the Government would be wrong to force colleges and universities to stop taking money from China. What the government should do is stop funding these colleges and universities. For every dollar these professors and schools take from Communist China, the U.S. Government should withhold $5. The Government should also stop any Research grants to these schools; we cannot have schools that deal with an enemy government work on government, medical and military projects. The Children of members of the Military, Congress or any State or City Government and any Civilian Employees of any Government agency should not be allowed to go to schools that receive funding from the Communist Chinese Government due to possible security concerns.
Any individual or organization caught providing aid and support to the Enemy, just in case you didn’t know it Communist China is in fact an Enemy of the United States and to our very way of life, should be charged with espionage and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  11. When the leaders of these “Higher levels of education” prove themselves to be atheists, what else can you expect. What would be a motivation for them to be eithical, not take bribes and not sell out for anything they could want???? Nothing. NOTHING. Think about it. Without God the highest, most powerful authority is ones self. Especially if you have the funds to bribe and glibbness to seduce.
