On March 30, I wrote a piece highlighting how Iran’s military ties to China helped spread the Wuhan Coronavirus (COVID-19) to Iran, stating, “it is becoming clear that Iran’s intimate strategic links with China and flights to and from China – which continued throughout February and March – were a major factor in Iran’s pandemic explosion.” I added that the ‘top culprit’ was likely Iran’s Mahan Air airline.
It now appears that this theory has proven correct, and sadly the Iranian regime’s close ties to China, its own incompetence, and a secret hidden agenda, also spread COVID-19 beyond Iran and throughout the Middle East.
BBC News Arabic has just completed an investigation that concludes that Iran’s largest airline – Mahan Air – sanctioned by the US for its links to terrorism via the powerful Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) – “continued to fly while government flight bans were in place and contributed to the spread of Covid-19 in the Middle East.” BBC News further details:
Mahan Air ran hundreds of flights to and from Iran, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and Syria between late January and the end of March. All these countries gave Mahan Air permission to land. And they did so while their own bans on routine flights from Iran were in place.
Sources within the airline told the BBC that dozens of Mahan Air’s cabin crew were showing symptoms of Covid-19 and that when staff tried to raise concerns about the airline’s management of the crisis and provision of safety equipment, they were silenced.
The BBC’s investigation which analyzed flight tracking data and open source footage found that the first cases in Lebanon and Iraq came from Mahan Air flights. Jets landing in Tehran from China also made onward travel within 24 hours to Barcelona, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Istanbul, reported the Daily Mail.
In my earlier piece, I also explained that the IRGC uses Mahan Air to transport weapons, money and supplies, as well as export terrorism. Serious questions need to be asked of Iran. Why did these flights continue after they were supposedly banned? Who and what was onboard these clandestine flights from China to Iran – and elsewhere in the Mideast – that were so important that Iran willingly risked spreading a deadly virus?
Since the IRGC leadership reports directly to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, not the official Iranian government, these questions should be made directly to him.

Our economy was crashed by a bunch of cowardly governors. They are the ones that closed their states and stopped businesses and people from working. Only Governor Noem of South Dakota did not close her state. She recommended some “social distancing” but she did not close the businesses. The death rate in SD is no different than the death rate elsewhere. The whole mantra was to “flatten the curve”. It was not to keep you from getting the Corona virus. What happened was that the hospitals and doctors were “flattened”. Quite a few hospitals have failed, because they had no business. Talk about your unintended consequences!
