House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for Californians to reject the recall with the explanation that it’s “not good for children or other living things.” GOP challengers Larry Elder and Caitlyn Jenner contend that Newsom is worried that the special election isn’t going to go his way.
Pelosi took time out from touting the American Rescue Plan’s emergency rental assistance program to weigh in on the upcoming recall election.
“We have to vote and we have to reject the recall,” she said, pumping up Newsom as a “groundbreaking” leader whose record she is “very proud” of.
“He’s been a great governor, and I’d like to see this, shall we say, nuisance — but it’s part of what you can do, so we respect that — but we have to also get out the vote,” she urged California voters.
“Reject the recall,” Pelosi pushed, despite her claim that the Democrat Party isn’t worried about it. “It’s not good for you. It’s not good for children or other living things.”
Larry Elder, the Republican front-runner in the polls, thinks the Dems should expect a close contest. “The polls are right in the margin of error. About half of them want him gone, and about half of them don’t,” he told Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld on Tuesday.
“I think he’s in serious trouble and he knows it,” he continued. “I know that he’s (Newsom) worried about me.”
Jenner agreed and wasn’t above trash-talking Newsom’s track record.
“All he’s worried about right now is the recall election. Banging on the table, yelling and screaming about the recall,” she said. “I hate to clue you in, Gavin, you’re going to get recalled. There’s going to be somebody else in there pretty quick. You have failed this state and you’ve done a horrible job.”
She spoke to Fox News’ Martha MacCallum about the “epidemic of crime” the state is facing under Newsom’s lax leadership.
“Right now we have an epidemic of crime in this state. It’s legal right now to steal in San Francisco, you see it all the time,” Jenner said. “This is about leadership. Governor Newsom is not a leader.”
“When it comes to the police force, when it comes to crime, you have powers as governor. You obviously have veto power and the power to put in a state of emergency,” she continued. “He also has the power to bring in the National Guard if it’s that important. He’s not doing any of that.”

Pelosi attended every Bar/Bat Mitzvah in her ‘village’ for most of her life. She claims she’s Catholic, but I’m Catholic, and I didn’t attend every Bar/Bat Mitzvah in my village.
Of course, Pelosi is going to defend Newson, he’s her nephew. However, as far as I am concerned, Newson has done a lousy job as governor, and he SHOULD get recalled! Down with the bad and in with the good, as they say!!
Nepotism is a visible and predictable element of a tyrannical government. In each example of these regimes, you’ll see a physical resemblance among the leadership, or at least the same surname. I believe it is necessary to restrict such forms of government.
I fear that Newsom will survive the recall, with Ca’s lax voting laws and legal ballot harvesting the fix is in.

Newsom IS a great governor: If you’re gay/transgendered, black, female, an illegal alien or you somehow enjoy your costs of living increasing exponentially. For the rest of us, he simply needs to leave.
