Twitter’s largest advertiser, Apple, returns to the social media platform following rumors of them pulling out. Musk had blasted Apple after rumors circulated alleging that Apple was considering not only pulling their advertising on Twitter, but also pulling the Twitter app from the Apple App Store.

Musk met with Apple CEO Tim Cook, following their meeting Musk took to Twitter saying:

“We resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store,” he posted. “Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”

On Saturday, Musk added Apple was the largest advertiser on Twitter.

Tim Cook would go on to follow Elon Musk on Twitter, a possible symbol that the relationship between the two CEOs has trended in the right direction.

Amazon also has plans in the works to enter a new contract with Twitter to the tune of as much as $100 million per year, pending some security tweaks to the social media platform, according to Platformer’s Zoë Schiffer. Amazon has recently paused some of its Twitter advertising, however, the future of Amazon’s advertising appears to be directly involved with Twitter.

  1. It looks to me like Apple went to bully the 6 pound spider monkey, and found out it was a 650 pound gorilla.
