In a shocking turn of events, Trump-hating ex-Fox News Anchor Shepard Smith’s show was canceled from CNBC. The nightly news program was launched two years ago. Smith’s last day at CNBC is unclear, but the network confirmed to the New York Post that he would be leaving and his show would be no more, as it reported:

“After spending time with many of you and closely reviewing the various aspects of our business, I believe we must prioritize and focus on our core strengths of business news and personal finance,” CNBC President KC Sullivan said in a memo to staffers.

“As a result of this strategic alignment to our core business, we will need to shift some of our priorities and resources and make some difficult decisions,” Sullivan added.

CNBC will reportedly attempt to reassign the approximately 20 staffers impacted by the cancellation of Smith’s show. The business network plans to air market coverage during the 7 p.m. time slot previously occupied by Smith, with the launch of a permanent business-related replacement slated for next year.

Smith joined CNBC in 2020 after a lengthy stint at Fox News. While CNBC has traditionally focused on heavy coverage of the markets and other business news, Smith’s program took the form of a centrist general news show.

When opening his new show on the network in 2020, he was quick to bash President Trump:

Another failed Fox News anchor-turned-CNN host Chris Wallace praised Smith when he left Fox News, saying to CNBC “Shep is one of the premier newscasters of his generation and his extraordinary body of work is among the finest journalism in the industry.”

  1. Broadcaster Chris Wallace is right that fellow broadcaster Shepherd Smith is among the best in the industry. Smith always has multiple sources for every set of facts and when he gets something wrong, it leads at the top of his next broadcast, not buried somewhere at the end of the broadcast. This is rare in an industry of broadcast journalism, which is squandering its credibility left and right. I hope Smith finds another suitable assignment because we need more broadcasters like him. His anti-Trumpism is his personal opinion, but it doesn’t appear to cloud his excellent news judgment. In my opinion.

  2. IF THE GOP TAKES ALL, CAN WE DEPEND ON THEM TO GET THINGS TURNED AROUND AND QUICKLY? IT SURELY DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT, HELL, THEY CAN’T EVEN RID US OF THE TIME CHANGES TWICE A YEAR. WHAT GOOD IS THE CONGRESS? ALL THEY DO IS FIGHT EACH OTHER FOR POWER, EVERYTHING ELSE BE DAMNED. THEY SURE AS HELL, DON’T PUT AMERICA FIRST LIKE PRESIDENT TRUMP ALWAYS DID. WHY DO WE EVEN NEED A TWO PARTY SYSTEM? ONE WOULD GET THINGS DONE A LOT QUICKER, AND BE MUCH MORE EFFECIENT, THAN A TWO PARTY SYSTEM ALWAYS GOING AGAINST EACH OTHER. PRESIDENT TRUMP NAMED THE NEW PARTY, AS THE “PATRIOT PARTY”, I LIKE IT, AND I THINK THIS IS WHAT SHOULD BE DONE, TO MAKE OUR NEW GOVERNMENT MORE EFFEICIENT. THE DEMORATS PARTY OF ANTI-AMERICANS, HAVE BEEN AGRESSIVELY AGAINST AMERICA FOR MANY DECADES, OBAMA BROUGHT IT TO A HEAD, WITH HIS DIVIDING AMERICA IN HIS TWO BFAUDULENT TERMS AS ACTING PRESIDENT.

  3. Anyone who does not despise Donald Trump is either an idiot or just plain evil ! He is without a doubt the most evil and dangerous individual ever produced by the USA !
