Open AI chat has been trending throughout the past two weeks. Many internet users and people wondering if the service is as good as it claims wanted to test it out. Almost every review available, along with my self noticed one thing; this service is impressive. What makes it even more impressive is the fact that it’s only in beta mode right now, so this remarkable tool isn’t even a finished product. Axios reports that in its first five days, more than 1 million users signed up to try the ChatGPT, according to OpenAI president Greg Brockman.

What exactly is AI chat?:

OpenAI is a leading organization in the field of artificial intelligence research and development. They are focused on advancing the state of the art in AI, and have developed many innovative technologies and approaches in this field. AI can help with research by providing information on a wide range of topics, as well as assist with writing by generating text or suggesting words and phrases, and the tech tool can even help with translation by providing translations of words and phrases from one language to another.

How do I know it’s impressive? I tried out the same test that The New York Times’s Paul Krugman tried, and OpenAI’s chat function wrote large parts of the previous paragraph upon me asking “what is open AI chat?” and, “what makes this helpful?’

It’s not hard to imagine a future where people pull of their phones and instead of running to Google to answer questions, then, having to click on links in order to find websites with the information available, they choose to use OpenAI or similar functions.

While it may seem like large parts of the internet are gushing over an AI tool because it’s new and shiny, they’re not alone. Even Google is trying to get with the times before they get left in the past. Axios reports that Google has started investing in its own AI technology, and the company pulled in $149 billion from its search business last year; more than half of total revenue.
