Turning Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley into the face of the Democratic Party will pay dividends.
No strategy is without peril. Republican backlash to chants of "send her back," regarding Ilhan Omar, at President Trump's Wednesday night rally proves that.
For most conservatives, it was a bridge too far. Omar has far-left political views and she's even promoted anti-Semitic tropes.
However, we cannot stress enough that she is a naturalized citizen. America is her country as much as ours. Gratitude or extreme views are not prerequisites to being an American.
We can defeat her extreme ideas by exposing them and offering a compelling contrast: a strong economy, rebuilt military, better trade deals, etc. courtesy of the White House.

But physical threats have no place whatsoever in our political discourse.
They only fuel the mainstream media's disingenuous portrayal of all conservative Republicans.
