Until Elizabeth Warren leaked reports that Bernie privately told her a woman couldn't beat Trump, the idea of a Vice President Warren got substantial attention from Sanders' advisers.

In a Sanders administration, moderate Democrats would likely join Republicans in Washington to obstruct Sanders' leftist agenda, making their appointment unlikely. 

Instead, his most likely choice for VP is the former Georgia House of Representatives minority leader, Stacey Abrams.

Abrams narrowly lost the 2018 gubernatorial election in Georgia, and her support with African Americans could put the Peach State in play this cycle despite its reddish hue.
