Ingraham recently criticized Trump for claiming the wall, his signature campaign promise, was largely built.
“Stop saying it’s a wall. There’s no wall,” Ingraham said. “If you want a wall say we don’t have the wall — I know it’s bad because he made the promise, but they’re not building the wall. So you gotta stop saying that.”
Approximately 650 miles of fencing already exists along the U.S.-Mexico border, most of which was erected before Trump announced his presidential aspirations.
Since his January 2017 inauguration, contractors have replaced numerous miles of dilapidated fencing. Construction began last month on 14 new miles in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley.
That leaves two-thirds of the border without physical barriers.
