3.) Benghazi

The 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya was one that will not be forgotten anytime soon. The response from U.S. officials sparked fierce criticism and the cover-up that followed was disgraceful.

Among those killed in the attack were U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, foreign service officer Sean Smith, and CIA contractors and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods.
