Rep. Mark Walker (R-NC) is the vice-chair of the GOP conference.

The pastor-turned-congressman flatly told Vice President Pence he didn’t want Wednesday’s chants to define the party in next year’s election.

Referring to his discussions with Pence, Walker said:

“We talked about that, and he, we, felt like this is going to be part of our discussion to make sure we are not defined by that. We want our policies, from the House all the way up to the administration, to define us.”
