A Washington-area teacher, her toddler in tow, confronted Trump administration official Scott Pruitt while eating lunch Monday. Things quickly became uncomfortable.
Per TheBlaze:
Kristin Mink posted a video via Facebook of her approaching Pruitt while holding her toddler and what appeared to be a list of notes to guide her through the scolding she delivered. In the tirade, Mink tells Pruitt more than once that he should resign, and brings up the scandals faced by the official in recent months.
In the accompanying text to her post, Mink says: “EPA head Scott Pruitt was 3 tables away as I ate lunch with my child. I had to say something. This man is directly and significantly harming my child’s — and every child’s — health and future with decisions to roll back environmental regulations for the benefit of big corporations, while he uses taxpayer money to fund a lavish lifestyle.
“He’s corrupt, he’s a liar, he’s a climate change denier, and as a public servant, he should not be able to go out in public without hearing from the citizens he’s hurting…”
While Pruitt can be seen in the video maintaining eye contact while sitting and listening to Mink, she says that “Cowardly Pruitt had no response. He, his companion, and their 2 tax-paid security guards fled the restaurant before I got back to my seat.”
Mink proceeded to take a page out of Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) playbook, encouraging Americans to confront government officials they perceive as corrupt “whenever and wherever.”
