An Arab voter in Michigan told CNN’s John King on Wednesday that he could not vote for Vice President Kamala Harris “in good conscience” due to her stance on Israel.

Polls in swing states show a tight race between Harris and former President Donald Trump, with both candidates competing closely in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, with recent polling in Michigan showing Harris with a 1.3-point lead over the former president, according to RealClearPolitics averages. During a segment on “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” King interviewed 26-year-old Wahbeh Nuseibeh, who previously voted for former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden for president.

“I‘m not voting for Kamala Harris, not in good conscience. I cannot vote for someone that uses my hard earned tax dollars to kill my friends and families overseas,” Nuseibeh said.

King stated that the 26-year-old would be voting third party, while Nuseibeh added, “Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and a threat to our society.”

The host then went on to explain to CNN’s Jake Tapper that while the youth voting group is not going in favor of Trump, Harris is still trailing behind Biden’s polls within the state from 2020.

“You notice that last point, Jake, there is not a groundswell for Donald Trump on any of these college campuses, but, and it‘s an important but, these young voters, 18 to 29, absolutely critical in Michigan, critical in Wisconsin, critical in several of the other battleground states, Harris is doing better than Biden was back earlier this year,” King said.

“But at the moment, she‘s not doing as well as Biden did in 2020 on Election Day. She‘s trailing Biden in 2020. The question is, how much can she afford to trail him?” King questioned. “And now with the anniversary coming and the continued violence, not only in Gaza but up into Lebanon, does the student anger get re-stoked? Giant question.”
