Even the liberal media appears skeptical of the latest sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The New Yorker published an unsubstantiated report last night accusing Kavanaugh of inappropriate behavior decades ago no one else witnessed nor even the accuser felt confident about remembering properly until mere days ago. (Gateway Pundit)
Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer have released a report in the New Yorker from a second woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct — and this time it includes a dildo.
New Yorker Kavanaugh allegation story has it all: 35 years ago. Accuser was drunk. ‘Significant gaps’ in her memory, recovered recently with help of lawyer. Memories fuzzy all ’round. Some say never happened. Accuser ‘never described incident until Brett’s SCOTUS nomination.’

The 53-year-old accuser Deborah Ramirez told the New Yorker that she was initially hesitant to speak out because she was drunk at the time and her memory had gaps. She spent six days “carefully assessing her memories” and consulting with her attorney before going public.
This is amazing —two male students who were allegedly at the party, the wife of another male student, and three other Yale classmates all tell Ronan Farrow that there is no way Kavanaugh assaulted Ramirez.
The New Yorker ran the story anyway.

The reaction from across the mainstream media has ranged from skepticism to outrage over publishing unproven, unverifiable claims.

Where did the corroborating witness get the information from? –@JDickerson
“He remembers it from–he was in the same dorm .. and he remembers it clearly” –@JaneMayerNYer
But did he see it? –@JDickerson
“No. As I’ve said, he heard it from someone who was there.” –@JaneMayerNYer pic.twitter.com/h9dxDiPJeX

The left made a mistake with this Ramirez story. It isn’t just how embarrassingly flimsy it is; she was inebriated; took six days to find memories; everyone denies it. But it strongly suggests the Ford delay demands were about cooking this up. Destroys credibility all around.

Question for the Feinstein camp, and media mouthpieces: Why use the latest completely unsubstantiated claims to call for delay, and deprive Ford of the opportunity to tell her story on Thursday? Ford says she wants to. So time to do it. No more delays.

So she was reluctant to say Kavanaugh was involved, but having thought it over for several days as his confirmation drew near, she’s suddenly sure.

The corroborating source of the account is anonymous and was not present at the time but says he’s “100 percent” sure he was told by someone present. https://t.co/GH9Ph1nwrA pic.twitter.com/rLQC7cJBsh

Not the kind of rigor we’ve come to expect from stories bearing Ronan Farrow’s name:
“’I believe it could have happened,’ another classmate who knew both Kavanaugh and Ramirez said” https://t.co/GH9Ph1nwrA
— John McCormack (@McCormackJohn) September 24, 2018
“In a statement, two of those male classmates who Ramirez alleged were involved the incident, the wife of a third male student she said was involved, and three other classmates, Dino Ewing, Louisa Garry and Dan Murphy, disputed Ramirez’s account of events” https://t.co/GH9Ph1nwrA

The New Yorker couldn’t even place Kavanaugh at the party in question and the only support for these newly-assessed memories comes from an anonymous, secondhand witness who could only say he “was told” it happened. https://t.co/B3ZV4F6g4b

The Times interviewed dozens to corroborate 2nd allegation against Kavanaugh and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ramirez told ex-classmates she couldn’t be certain Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself. @SherylNYT @npfandos https://t.co/lGVc4hJzEU

The New Yorker Kavanaugh story is so thin that part of me wonders if it’s a GOP plant designed to discredit the original allegations. It’s the second most helpful development for Kavanaugh’s case so far.

The fact that the New Yorker 1.) could not find a single witness putting Kavanaugh at the party, some thirty years ago nor 2.) a single person who could corroborate her recollection of events raises serious questions.
Those facts were more than 1,000 words in the report. Further buried – the bombshells that Ramirez best friend said she never mentioned the story and stated that the accusation could be “politically motivated.” Ramirez herself wasn’t sure her memory was sound, given her admitted intoxication that night – until after six days of consulting with her Democrat lawyer.
