President Joe Biden’s nominee to the Federal Election Commission falsely claimed in legal filings that voting machines used in Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial election “switched” votes from Democrat nominee Stacey Abrams to Republican nominee Brian Kemp.
Dara Lindenbaum made the false claims in sworn legal filings challenging Abram’s loss. The bizarre claims were dropped in later filings.
Several attorneys for former President Donald Trump face disbarment and heavy fines for making similar claims.
“One troubling problem — encountered by several voters — is that voting machines switched their votes from Leader Stacey Abrams to Secretary Kemp,” read a lawsuit challenging the election results, signed by Lindenbaum, filed in federal court weeks after the election.
“The lawsuit named two voters who said they had to vote for Abrams on the voting machine four times because the first three times it identified Kemp. In one case, it said, only after a voter’s ‘fourth attempt was she able to cast a ballot for Leader Abrams.’ The complaint says another voter is said to have ‘kept pressing Abrams and, by the fourth time, the machine finally corrected,’” Fox News reports.
Cases of “vote flipping” occur in many elections, and are almost always the result of a voter pressing the incorrect button or wrong section of a touch screen. The suit was amended weeks later to remove the claim of “vote switching.”
“The FEC is supposed to be a neutral body that instills confidence in our elections,” Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr tells Fox News. “She has spent the last four years making fake claims of voter suppression and pushing conspiracy theories. This has been a four-year fundraising effort for Fair Fight Action assisted by Ms. Lindenbaum.”
Despite making outlandish and demonstrably false claims of a “stolen election,” Lindenbaum is now nominated to serve on the Federal Election Commission, even as attorneys who made similar claims on behalf of Trump face losing their professional careers.
As Yahoo News reported Feb. 24, several weeks after Lindebaum’s nomination:
A federal appeals court on Thursday ruled that Sidney Powell and other attorneys who unsuccessfully sued to block President Biden’s 2020 electoral win in Michigan must comply with nonmonetary sanctions imposed by a federal judge…
…Parker’s August ruling ordered the lawyers to complete at least 12 hours of legal education as part of their punishment for filing a lawsuit targeting Michigan’s voting results, which Parker said represented “a historic and profound abuse of the judicial process.”
The Michigan-based suit on behalf of Trump accused public officials of illegally manipulating ballots in order to assist Biden in getting elected and sought to decertify Michigan’s vote count…
… The attorneys involved in the litigation were also ordered to pay $175,000 in legal fees, though Parker agreed to pause enforcement of the payments while appeals play out.
Those costs were ordered to be divided equally among the nine sanctioned attorneys, who included Powell and Lin Wood, two of the more prominent promoters of former President Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election results being tainted by widespread voter fraud and irregularities.

What can anyone say about elected or appointed persons to public office that dishonor their oath of office and lie to Congress? What can anyone say about elected or appointed persons who betray their office by being corrupt,taking money from communist China or others have their office position conflicted or compromised by selling out their Country for personal gain? Any one who profits or gains from his betrayal of public office should have to pay back all personal gain and profits or assets from this treasonous act against their Country. Impeachment should just be the beggining to a process of restitution. These traitors should see jail for their crimes of personal gain against the united States of America.
