A top liberal U.S. Senator handed out an award at a Communist Party event that urged Americans to join the Communist Party.
Connecticut Democrat Senator Richard Blumethal was “a special surprise guest” at the Connecticut People’s World Committee Amistad Awards, where he thanked Communists for supporting his political agenda.
The CPWC is an official Communist Party affiliate and held the event to mark the 102nd anniversary of the founding of Communist Party USA.
“I’m here to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees here,” Blumenthal crowed to the crowd.
“There’s a lot to be working for in economic justice, in racial equity, in establishing a $15 minimum wage and holding corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people. We need to look at our entire tax system, beginning with Build Back Better,” Blumental ranted.
Blumethal then praised the Communist Party for helping his political career, thanking them for “your help and support over many, many years.”
The Blumenthal-headlined event included an explicit call to join the Communist Party.
“We invite you to join the Communist Party in this epic time as we make good trouble to uproot systemic racism, retool the war economy, tax the rich, address climate change, secure voting rights and create a new socialist system that puts people, peace and planet before profits,” said emcee Ben McManus.
Despite a political career railing against millionaires, Blumenthal is one of the richest men in Washington, with an estimated net worth of $100 million, most of which is held by his wife. He has voted volunteered to equally redistribute their own property.
When confronted, Blumenthal claimed to be unaware the Connecticut People’s World Committee was a Communist organization in the state, despite his having been an elected Connecticut official for 30 years and the fact it is explicitly Communist.
Blumenthal is also known for having falsely claimed to have served in Vietnam, then later admitting he never left the state.

The American people doesn’t fear communism anymore
No, they’re not “nuts”. They’re very evil and calculating, and republicans are very slow on the uptake when dealing with democrats. That’s why they always lose ground to them. Commies think in fifty and hundred-year increments, while republicans can barely stay engaged from one election cycle to the next.
The seeds of what is happening today were sowed in the 1960s, and the left is willing to take an occasional step backwards today because they know in a year they will have taken 10 steps forward.
The reps are part of the problem too. They are paid off just like thr dems. Two sides of the same coin. This is what we have to understand. You are so correct this has been going on for years. My long passed Dad used to say these two parties are putting on the biggest Dog and Pony Show eve. I used to argue with him but guess what he was right. Not sure we can depend on these parties anymore.
If Democrats have only occasionally been into the practice of stepping back, the fact’s been unnoticeable since the turn of the century. If they’re dreaming about moving ten steps forward in a year, they won’t get away with falling asleep & sounding Republican until after election day.
What else needs to be said? This guy is gushing over the commy party. It’s not illegal, but it sure is dishonorable to true patriots. Only way we can get these socialist/communists out of office is with our votes. If not, we will soon be subject to more of their influence in the way this country is governed and that will be a very bad thing for our freedoms which have already been dampened significantly over the last 18 months!
The only thing wrong with voting them out is you can’t once they steal their way through the election process they use the same cheats over and over! 100% proof of that is Gavin Newsome! Biden just recently admitted he cheated his way into office because he stated it is not a matter of who gets to vote that wins elections but who counts the votes that wins elections!

Isn’t it illegal to plot the overthrow of the government? That will certainly be enforced when these communists gain full control – and they are almost there, because we didn’t believe it could happen in America, and combat them in the 1930’s when they began taking over our thinking in public schools.
What will it take to start electing Americans to public office? They are supposed to be representing us….not foreign interests.

He took an oath to the Constitution when elected to the Senate. He violated that oath, now he needs to be thrown out of the Senate and tried for treason.

All elected officials take a solar most to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Blumenthal has been a domestic enemy of the constitution since the day he walked in the office.
