One week after a terror attack, you would think both parties would understand the need for border security, and the justifiable fear gripping of the American public. You’d be wrong.
Top Democrats bashed Donald Trump Tuesday for his plan to ban foreign Muslims from entering the country.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders said Trump’s call for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” has encouraged racists to gain a larger voice in public discourse.
“I’ll tell you what does worry me … Ever since Trump has been opening his big mouth we’re seeing all these little bitter people, latent racists, become emboldened. You’re seeing some ugly stuff suddenly happening around the country,” the Democratic presidential candidate Sanders told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Tuesday.
Vice President Joe Biden also responded Tuesday to Trump’s calls to postpone Muslim immigration until U.S. leaders can figure out “what the hell is going on” in America in regard to mass shootings by Islamic terrorists.
“I don’t know what his motive is, but I know what he’s preaching is very, very dangerous brew for America,” Vice President Joe Biden told the White House Press Corps.
You see? The problem isn’t radical Islamic terrorism, it’s free speech. When Americans get together and express their concerns about anything other than global warming or gun confiscation, Democrats immediately sense Nazism. When radical Islamists sacrifice their lives and kill innocents in the name of their faith, well, we shouldn’t be too quick to judge.
If that sounds crazy, it’s because it is.
