Is the Obama administration keeping tabs on those with conservative convictions? The sad reality is yes. In fact, this administration has labeled “Catholicism” and “Evangelical Christianity” as being “on par” with radical Islam and other extreme ideologies. One citizen tells his own story about how he is being watched because he is “too conservative.”
Robert Spencer tells PJ Media that he has been labeled by the FBI as a “Right-Wing Extremist” for being too politically incorrect about Radical Islam. Spencer writes that every time he checks in at the airport, “the clerk types a great deal, frowns at the screen, types some more, asks [him] what [his] middle name is, types still more, looks at [him] quizzically, and gets on the phone.” He adds that they are extremely “secretive” about the phone calls and never allow him to hear what is discussed. He says this process generally lasts at least twenty minutes before he is able to continue with his travel plans.
Frustrated with what he thought was an airport security glitch, he contacted the Department of Homeland Security. DHS replied, saying it was a “misidentification” issue. However, he still faces these airport delays.
This is not uncommon for conservatives. According to PJ Media, investigative reporter, Matthew Vadum, wrote, [C]onservative organizations are ‘hate groups’ and Tea Party supporters are potentially dangerous extremists, according to educational materials the Obama administration is using to indoctrinate members of the nation’s armed forces,” urging three-letter organizations to be extra cautious of the far right and to create lists that put “Islamophobia” and “Jihadism” right next to each other.
The bottom line is that not being politically correct and being an extremist are two completely different things.
