In a nationally-watched congressional race that could determine control of the U.S. House, the troubled incumbent Democrat suddenly canceled a televised debate appearance after being tied to a bill that would jail parents on felony charges if they “fail to affirm” a child’s stated “gender identity.”
Democrat Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, running for re-election in Virginia’s 7 District, suddenly canceled plans to debate Republican challenger Yesli Vega in the wake of a national outage over a bill by Virginia State Delegate Elizbeth Guzman that would have parents arrested on felony charges if they fail to “affirm” their child’s stated sexual orientation or gender identity. Spanberger had been campaigning with Guzman just days before the story broke and the two have worked closely together. Rather than state her position on the bill publicly, Spanberger fled the debate. Spanberger claimed she canceled because the debate was “corrupted” by the presence of a conservative radio host, though she had never expressed a problem with that before.
“She doesn’t want to have to answer for her surrogate’s extreme positions on jailing parents if they refuse to affirm their child’s gender identity,” said Vega.
“I find this to be extremely troubling because the voters in the seventh district have every right to know where their candidate stands on a very important issue. As you know, this was a very important issue last November and it continues to be a very important issue,” said Vega.
“I think it’s also important to highlight how my opponent already voted against requiring parental consent before schools can start talking to your children about gender identity or sexual orientation. So she’s running away from this issue because she doesn’t want to be on the record having to answer,” said Vega.
Under Guzman’s bill, if a child claims a gender identity other than their biological gender, and his or her parents disagree, the parents would be reported to the police and a felony criminal investigation launched.
Guzman threatened that even being investigated for child abuse would be enough to strip parents of employment and custody of their children. The issue of parental rights has been a hot-button issue in Virginia. Democrat former Governor Terry McAuliffe lost his race for another term against GOP challenger Glenn Youngkin amid outrage over pornographic books in schools and a northern Virginia Democrat-run school board covering up a serial campus rapist who assaulted a girl in a restroom, reportedly over fears, it would jeopardize an effort to let boys use girls’ restrooms and showers.
In that case, the Democrat-led school board ordered police to tackle and arrest the victim’s father during a school board meeting when he attempted to speak about the assault.
Virginia’s Democrat-led legislature and the governor also sparked outrage by repealing a state law requiring schools to report when children are raped on campus.
These gender warriors need to be locked up for child abuse and banned from being around children like any other child molester would be.
Vote the democrat sickos out.

Abigail, you should do the right thing and abstain from politics. This is a prime reason early voting should not be allowed….the truth leaks out after the Ballot is in the mail, especially in Virginia, and by then, the Woke destroyers of sanity take over.
